Abstract

A zwitterionic surfactant of formula wherein R is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkenyl and alkenyl; having from 6-22 carbons; branched or linear, cyclic or acyclic and n is from 1-8.

Claims (6)

1. A zwitterionic surfactant of the following structure:

wherein R is selected from the group consisting of, alkyl, alkenyl, and alkynyl; having from 6-22 carbons; branched or linear, cyclic or acyclic and n is from 1 to 8.

2. The zwitterionic surfactant of claim 1 wherein R═C17H35 and n=1.

3. The zwitterionic surfactant of claim 1 wherein R═C17H33 and n=1.

4. The zwitterionic surfactant of claim 1 wherein R═C17H35 and n=2.

5. The zwitterionic surfactant of claim 1 wherein R═C11H23 and n=1.
