Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method, to be performed in a communication device adapted to work in a first mode and a second mode, for moving the communication device to the first mode. The method for moving includes:—subscribing to at least one service available in a communication network, the service being determined according to at least one action to be performed;—upon receiving an order representative of a providing of a service, moving to the first mode and performing an action according to said provided service. The present disclosure further relates to the corresponding devices, system, computer readable program products and computer readable storage media.

Claims (30)

1 . A method, to be performed in a communication device a adapted to work in a first mode and a second mode, comprising:

subscribing to at least one service available in a communication network, said at least one service being determined according to at least one action to be performed by said communication device upon switching said communication device to said first mode;

upon receiving a multicast order representative of a providing of one of said at least one service, switching said communication device to said first mode and performing an action according to said provided service.

2 . The method according to claim 1 wherein said performing of said action makes use of a contextual information stored upon switching said communication device to said second mode.

3 . The method according to claim 1 wherein said subscribing is performed upon switching said communication device to said second mode.

4 . The method according to claim 1 wherein said subscribing comprises preparing a routing of said multicast order inside said communication network.

5 . The method according to claim 1 wherein said at least one service is associated with at least one criterion, said receiving being performed upon fulfilling of at least one of said criterion.

6 . A communication device adapted to work in a first mode and in a second mode, said communication device comprising at least one processor configured for collectively:

subscribing to at least one service available in a communication network, said at least one service being determined according to at least one action to be performed by said communication device upon switching said communication device to said first mode;

upon a receiving a multicast order representative of a providing of one of said at least one service, switching said communication device to said first mode and performing an action according to said provided service.

7 . The communication device according to claim 6 wherein performing said action makes use of a contextual information stored upon switching said communication device to said second mode.

The communication device according to claim 6 wherein at least one first module of said communication device is inactive when said communication device is in said second mode and wherein said communication device comprises a frame analyzer adapted to send a signal for activating said first module upon a presence of an item, representative of a providing of one of said at least one service, in at least one frame received from at least one communication interface of said communication device when said communication device is in said second mode.

9 . The communication device according to claim 6 wherein said at least one processor is configured collectively for subscribing to said service upon switching said communication device to said second mode.

10 . The communication device according to claim 6 wherein subscribing to said at least one service comprises preparing a routing of said order inside said communication network.

11 . The communication device according to claim 6 wherein said at least one service is associated with at least one criterion, and wherein said order is received upon fulfilling of at least one of said criterion.

12 . The communication device according to claim 2 wherein said communication device is a Set-Top-Box.

13 . A method comprising:

receiving, from a communication network, a request of subscribing to a service;

upon a fulfilling of an obtained criterion, providing said service, wherein said providing comprises sending in multicast an item representative of said providing on said communication network .

17 . A non-transitory computer readable program product, characterized in that it comprises program code instructions for performing, when said non-transitory software program is executed by a computer, a method according to claim 1 .

18 . A non-transitory computer readable program product, characterized in that it comprises program code instructions for performing, when said non-transitory software program is executed by a computer, a method according to claim 13 .

19 . Computer readable storage medium carrying a software program characterized in that it comprises program code instructions for performing, when said non-transitory software program is executed by a computer, a method according to claim 1 .

20 . Computer readable storage medium carrying a software program characterized in that it comprises program code instructions for performing, when said non-transitory software program is executed by a computer, a method according to claim 13 .

21 . The method according to claim 1 wherein said first mode is an operational mode and said second mode is a sleeping mode where said communication device is partially inactive.

22 . The method according to claim 1 wherein said multicast order is representative of a broadcast, to said communication device, of a content corresponding to a content category acquired by said communication device.

23 . The communication device according to claim 6 wherein said first mode is an operational mode and said second mode is a sleeping mode where said communication device is partially inactive.

24 . The communication device according to claim 6 wherein said multicast order is representative of a broadcast, to said communication device, of a content corresponding to a content category acquired by said communication device.
