The door status device is coupled to a drive shaft of a lock device to assist in locking and unlocking a lock of a lock device at the door. The lock device is coupled to the door status device and includes a bolt. An engine, an energy source and a memory are coupled together. A camera is coupled to or part of the intelligent door lock system. The camera is configured to record in response to door lock status.

a camera adapted to operate in a lower-power mode and a higher-power mode, the camera consuming less power in the lower-power mode than in the higher-power mode;

a motion detector; and

at least one processor configured to:

in response to the motion detector detecting motion of a person near the door at the building, instruct the camera to exit the lower-power mode;

in response to a determination, based on information output by the at least one sensor coupled to the door, that the door has been opened,

trigger the camera to capture one or more images and/or video including at least a portion of the person near the door at the building,

wherein the camera exits the lower-power mode prior to capturing the one or more images and/or the video; and

in response to a subsequent determination, based on information output by the at least one sensor, that the door has been closed and the lock device has been changed to the lock position,

trigger the camera to cease recording the one or more images and/or the video including the at least the portion of the person near the door at the building.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the at least one processor is configured to trigger the camera to begin recording the one or more images and/or the video in further response to a further determination, based on information output by the at least one sensor relating to the lock status, that the lock device has been changed to the unlock position.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor is electrically connected with the at least one processor.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor is wirelessly connected with the at least one processor.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the camera is placed inside the building and positioned to face the door.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to operate one or more virtual fences to delimit a zone within the building.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

operate one or more virtual fences to delimit a zone within the building; and

determine whether the one or more virtual fences have been broken.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

operate one or more virtual fences to delimit a zone within the building;

determine whether the one or more virtual fences have been broken; and

in response to determining that the one or more virtual fences have been broken, trigger one or more notifications to an occupant's mobile device, a vocal warning, and/or a communication with authorities.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the information output by the at least one sensor includes multiple status data.

10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the multiple status data includes one or more of an indication that the door is open or closed and/or an indication that the lock is locked or unlocked.

11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to, in response to input from one or more sensors at the building and/or included in the intelligent door lock system, operate the camera to capture the one or more images and/or the video including the at least a portion of the person near the door at the building.

12. The intelligent door lock system of claim 1 , wherein detecting motion of a person near the door at the building comprises detecting motion of a person within a threshold distance of the building.

13. The intelligent door lock system of claim 12 , wherein detecting motion of a person within a threshold distance of the building comprises determining that detected motion within the threshold distance of the building corresponds to a person.

14. The intelligent door lock system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises at least one circuit.

15. The intelligent door lock system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises at least one accelerometer.

16. The intelligent door lock system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises at least one optical encoder.

17. The intelligent door lock system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises at least one potentiometer.

18. The intelligent door lock system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises one or more sensors selected from a group of sensors consisting of accelerometers, optical encoders, magnetic encoders, mechanical encoders, Hall Effect sensors, potentiometers, contacts with ticks, and optical camera encoders.

19. An intelligent door lock system coupled to a door at a building, comprising:

at least one circuit configured to be coupled to the door, the at least one circuit configured to output information relating to an opening and closing of the door and to a change in lock status of a lock device of the door between a lock position and an unlock position;

a motion detector; and

a camera configured to:

in response to the motion detector detecting motion of a person near the door at the building, instruct the camera to exit a lower-power mode, the camera consuming less power in the lower-power mode than in a higher-power mode;

in response to a determination based on information output by the at least one circuit coupled to the door, that the door has been opened, capture one or more images and/or video including at least a portion of the person near the door at the building,

wherein the camera exits the lower-power mode prior to the one or more images and/or the video being captured; and

in response to a subsequent determination, based on information output by the at least one circuit, that the door has been closed and the lock device has been changed to the lock position, cease recording the one or more images and/or the video including the at least the portion of the person near the door at the building.

20. The system of claim 19 , wherein the camera is further configured to:
