SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR LINKING DEVICES FOR COORDINATED OPERATION
A system, method, and computer program product are provided for linking devices for coordinated operation. A first device is provided. Additionally, a second device is provided. Further, a communication link between the first device and the second device is provided, wherein the communication link is operable such that the first device and the second device are capable of coordinating operation to function as a third device. In different embodiments, various features may be further incorporated in association with the system, method, and computer program product, for improvement purposes.
1 . A system, comprising:
a first physical device;
a second physical device; and
a communication link between the first physical device and the second physical device;
wherein the communication link is configured such that the first device and the second device coordinate operation to function as a third device.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein coordinating operation to function as the third device includes communicating at least one hypervisor between the first physical device and the second physical device.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein coordinating operation to function as the third device includes communicating at least one virtual machine between the first physical device and the second physical device.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein coordinating operation to function as the third device includes communicating at least one operating system between the first physical device and the second physical device.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein coordinating operation to function as the third device includes communicating data between the first physical device and the second physical device.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein coordinating operation to function as the third device includes communicating at least one device function between the first physical device and the second physical device.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the at least one device function includes at least one of a phone call, a game, a word processing function, or a traffic direction function.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first physical device or the second physical device include at least one of a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a laptop computer, a television, a watch, a set-top box, a desktop computer, or a GPS unit.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the communication link between the first physical device and the second physical device includes a wireless link.
10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the communication link between the first physical device and the second physical device includes a wired link.
11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the communication link between the first physical device and the second physical device includes a link via cloud.
12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the communication link between the first physical device and the second physical device includes a plurality of links.
13 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a fourth device, wherein the communication link is configured such that the first physical device, the second physical device, and the fourth device coordinate operation to function as the third device.
14 . The system of claim 1 , wherein coordinating operation to function as the third device includes sharing hardware between the first physical device and the second physical device.
15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the hardware includes at least one processor.
16 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the hardware includes at least one display.
