Abstract

The present invention provides crystalline forms of Ibrutinib. Specific crystalline forms provided by the present invention include Ibrutinib Form APO-I, an anhydrous form; APO-II, a methyl benzoate solvate of Ibrutinib; and APO-IV, a methyl salicylate solvate of Ibrutinib.

Claims (5)

1. A crystalline form of Ibrutinib that is a solvate of Ibrutinib and methyl benzoate.

2. The solvate of claim 1 , wherein the molar ratio of Ibrutinib to methyl benzoate is approximately 1:0.5.

3. The solvate of claim 2 , wherein the solvate is characterized by a powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) diffractogram comprising peaks, expressed in degrees 2θ (±0.2°), at 6.4°, 10.1° and 12.8°.

4. The solvate of claim 3 , characterized by a PXRD diffractogram further comprising at least three peaks, expressed in degrees 2θ (±0.2°), selected from the group consisting of: 13.8°, 17.6°, 18.4°, 19.4°, 20.4°, 21.0°, 21.7°, 23.2°, 24.1° and 24.9°.

5. The solvate of claim 3 , characterized by a PXRD diffractogram further comprising peaks, expressed in degrees 2θ (±0.2°), at 13.8°, 17.6°, 18.4°, 19.4°, 20.4°, 21.0°, 21.7°, 23.2°, 24.1° and 24.9°.
