Abstract

A method of determining a stage of CKD may comprise: measuring a creatinine level; determining a creatinine level; determining a glomerular filtration rate; and determining a stage of CKD.

Claims (20)

1. A method of determining a stage of chronic kidney disease (CKD), the method comprising:

measuring a current creatinine level of an individual from a biochemistry test;

determining a glomerular filtration rate (GFR) based on the current creatinine level;

determining a stage of CKD based on the GFR; and

administering a dosage of a supplement to the individual, the supplement consisting of lysine vitamin C, and less than about 200 mg of zinc.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the biochemistry test comprises a fingerprick test that quantitatively indicates the current creatinine level, the GFR, and the stage of CKD.

3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying, on a graphical user interface, the current creatinine level, the GFR, and the stage of CKD.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the supplement comprises a range of about 500 mg to about 2000 mg of lysine.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the supplement comprises a range of about 50 mg to about 500 mg of vitamin C.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the supplement comprises a range of about 500 mg to about 2000 mg of lysine, a range of about 50 mg to less than about 200 mg of zinc, and a range of about 50 mg to about 500 mg of vitamin C.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein administering the supplement comprises administering the supplement in the form of a pill, gummy, tablet, shake, capsule, liquid extract, drink, or nutritional bar medium.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein a lysine portion of the supplement comprises D-lysine.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein a lysine portion of the supplement comprises L-lysine.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the creatinine level, the GFR, and the stage of CKD may be sent to a secure, remote network-based data store.

11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising displaying remotely, on a graphical user interface, the creatinine level, the GFR, and the stage of CKD.

12. The method of claim 1 , further comprising when the stage of CKD is stage 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, administering the dosage of the supplement to the individual.

13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising when the stage of CKD is stage 2, 3, 4, or 5, administering the dosage of the supplement to the individual.

14. The method of claim 1 , further comprising when the stage of CKD is stage 3, 4, or 5, administering the dosage of the supplement to the individual.

15. The method of claim 1 , further comprising when the stage of CKD is stage 4 or 5, administering the dosage of the supplement to the individual.

16. The method of claim 1 , further comprising when the stage of CKD is stage 5, administering the dosage of the supplement to the individual.
