Abstract

An augmented or replaced application outcome interleaved wagering system is disclosed. The system includes an interactive controller operatively connected to an application controller by a network, the interactive controller configured to: communicate application telemetry; receive application outcomes, advancement of an interactive application being based on the application outcomes; and receive a wager outcome. The system also includes a wager controller operatively connected to the application controller, the wager controller constructed to: receive application outcome requests; generate application outcomes; communicate the application outcomes; determine a wager outcome. The system also includes the application controller operatively connected to the interactive controller and the wager controller, the application controller constructed to: receive the application telemetry; communicate the application outcome request; receive the application outcomes; communicate the application outcomes; receive the wager outcome; and communicate the wager outcome.

Claims (71)

1. An electronic gaming machine, comprising:

a bill validator/ticket scanner for scanning indicia of credit from a ticket;

a ticket printer for printing indicia of credit onto a ticket;

an interactive controller operatively connected to an application controller, the interactive controller configured to:

provide an interactive application;

distribute, to the application controller, first application telemetry;

receive, from the application controller, a first application outcome, wherein advancement of the interactive application provided by the interactive controller is based on the first application outcome;

generate a visual display of the first application outcome within the interactive application;

distribute, to the application controller, second application telemetry;

receive, from the application controller, a second application outcome and a wager outcome, wherein advancement of the interactive application is based on the second application outcome; and

generate a visual display of the second application outcome within the interactive application;

a wager controller operatively connected to the application controller, the wager controller constructed to:

receive input credit using the bill validator/ticket scanner;

receive, from the application controller, a first application outcome request;

generate the first application outcome based on the first application outcome request using a random number generator;

distribute, to the application controller, the generated first application outcome;

receive, from the application controller, a second application outcome request;

generate a second application outcome based on the second application outcome request using the random number generator;

determine a wager outcome based on the first application outcome and the second application outcome;

distribute, to the application controller, the second application outcome and the wager outcome;

determine an amount of credit based on the wager outcome and the input credit; and

print indicia of the amount of credit on a ticket using the ticket printer; and

the application controller operatively connected to the interactive controller and the wager controller, the application controller constructed to:

receive, from the interactive controller, the first application telemetry;

distribute, to the wager controller, the first application outcome request based on the first application telemetry;

receive, from the wager controller, the first application outcome;

distribute, to the interactive controller, the first application outcome;

receive, from the interactive controller, the second application telemetry;

distribute, to the wager controller, the second application outcome request based on the second application telemetry;

receive, from the wager controller, the second application outcome and the wager outcome; and

distribute, to the interactive controller, the second application outcome and the wager outcome.

2. The electronic gaming machine of claim 1 ,

wherein the interactive controller, wager controller, and the application controller are constructed from a same device.

3. The electronic gaming machine of claim 1 ,

wherein the interactive controller, wager controller, and the application controller are constructed from different devices.

4. The electronic gaming machine of claim 1 ,

wherein the first application telemetry and the second application telemetry comprise application state information associated with a state of the interactive application,

wherein the first application outcome request and the second application outcome request comprise application outcome parameters, wherein the application outcome parameters are based on the application state information, and

wherein the first application outcome and the second application outcome are further based on the application outcome parameters.

5. The electronic gaming machine of claim 4 , wherein the application state information comprises one or more previously received application outcomes.

6. The electronic gaming machine of claim 1 , wherein the wager controller is further constructed to store the generated first application outcome and store the generated second application outcome, and

wherein the generating of the second application outcome is further based on the stored generated first application outcome.

7. The electronic gaming machine of claim 6 , wherein the generated first application outcome and the generated second application outcome are stored locally.

8. The electronic gaming machine of claim 6 , wherein the generated first application outcome and the generated second application outcome are stored remotely and accessible via the network.

9. The electronic gaming machine of claim 1 , wherein the interactive controller is further configured to generate an application outcome, and

wherein the advancement of the interactive application is further based on the interactive controller generated application outcome.

10. The electronic gaming machine of claim 1 , wherein the first application telemetry and the second application telemetry comprise an identifier associated with the interactive application,

wherein the first application outcome request and the second application outcome request comprise the interactive application identifier, and

wherein the wager outcome is based on a paytable associated with the interactive application identifier.

11. An electronic gaming machine, comprising:

a bill validator/ticket scanner for scanning indicia of credit from a ticket;

a ticket printer for printing indicia of credit onto a ticket; and

a controller comprising:

at least one processor; and

a memory coupled to the processor, wherein the memory stores machine-executable instructions that when executed by the at least one processor cause the controller to:

receive input credit using the bill validator/ticket scanner;

provide an interactive application;

generate a first application outcome based on first application telemetry data of the interactive application using a random number generator wherein advancement of the interactive application is based on the first application outcome;

generate a visual display of the first application outcome within the interactive application;

determine a second application outcome based on second application telemetry data of the interactive application and the first application outcome using the random number generator, wherein advancement of the interactive application is based on the second application outcome; and

generate a visual display of the second application outcome within the interactive application;

determine a wager outcome based on the first application outcome the second application outcome;

determine an amount of credit based on the wager outcome and the input credit; and

print indicia of the amount of credit on a ticket using the ticket printer,

wherein the first application telemetry and the second application telemetry comprise application state information associated with a state of the interactive application.

12. The electronic gaming machine of claim 11 , wherein the application state information comprises one or more previously received application outcomes.

13. The electronic gaming machine of claim 12 , wherein the machine-executable instructions when executed by the at least one processor further cause the controller to store the generated first application outcome and store the generated second application outcome, wherein the generating of the second application outcome is further based on the stored generated first application outcome.
