Measuring apparatus system and method
Disclosed are a method, device and system for determining a flow rate of an excretion stream within an excretion collection assembly. According to some embodiments of the present invention, one of the constituent elements of the collection assembly includes a sensing module which includes an electrical and/or electromechanical component.
1. A system for estimating a rate of urine produced by kidneys and flowing into a bladder based on measurement of an excretion stream within an excretion collection assembly including a catheter, said system comprising:
communication circuits to receive urine flow indicative signals produced by one or more measuring devices functionally associated with a catheter and measuring urine flow out of the bladder;
estimation circuitry to estimate a urine flow from the kidneys into the bladder based on the received urine flow indicative signals; and
wherein said estimation circuitry includes a signal filter.
2. The system according to claim 1 , wherein said estimation circuitry is integral with said measuring device.
3. The system according to claim 1 , wherein said estimation circuitry is integral with a display.
4. The system according to claim 1 , wherein said estimation circuitry is integral with a receiving device.
5. The system according to claim 1 , wherein said estimation circuitry includes a signal filter which is a digital signal filter.
6. The system according to claim 1 , wherein said estimation circuitry includes a signal filter which is an analog signal filter.
7. A method of estimating a rate of urine produced by kidneys and flowing into a bladder based on measurement of an excretion stream within an excretion collection assembly including a catheter, said method comprising:
receiving urine flow indicative signals produced by one or more measuring devices functionally associated with a catheter and measuring urine flow out of the bladder;
estimating a urine flow from the kidneys into the bladder based on the received urine flow indicative signals; and
wherein said estimation is at least partially performed using a signal filter.
8. The method according to claim 7 , wherein said estimation is performed by circuitry integral with a measuring device.
9. The method according to claim 7 , wherein said estimation is performed by circuitry integral with a display.
10. The method according to claim 7 , wherein said estimation is performed by circuitry integral with a receiving device.
11. The method according to claim 7 , wherein said estimation is performed using a digital signal filter.
12. The method according to claim 7 , wherein said estimation is performed using an analog signal filter.
