Abstract

The present application discloses a method for interconnection between a terminal device and a gateway device. When the terminal device detects that the terminal device and the gateway device meet a first connection condition and that it is the first time the terminal device is to be connected to the gateway device, acquiring, from the gateway device, a first common SSID preset in the gateway device; and when authentication performed by the terminal device on the acquired first common SSID succeeds, sending a second common SSID preset in the terminal device to the gateway device, so that when authentication performed by the gateway device on the second common SSID succeeds, a common SSID-based connection is established between the terminal device and the gateway device. So using the method, processing of interconnection between a terminal device and a gateway device takes a short time and a process is relatively simple.

Claims (64)

1. A method of connecting a terminal device and a gateway device, the method comprising:

acquiring, from the gateway device, a first service set identifier (SSID) of the gateway device;

performing a verification on the first SSID;

automatically sending a second SSID to the gateway device and establishing a first connection between the terminal device and the gateway device when verification performed on the first SSID succeeds;

receiving a private SSID and a key of the gateway device via the established first connection;

automatically disconnecting the established first connection between the terminal device and the gateway device;

automatically establishing a second connection between the terminal device and the gateway device based on the private SSID and the key for connecting the terminal device to the Internet via the second connection.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein performing a verification on the first SSID comprises:

comparing the first SSID with the second SSID preset in the terminal device;

when the first SSID and the second SSID are the same SSID, verification performed on the first SSID succeeds.

3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first SSID and the second SSID are the same SSID.

4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein:

the first SSID is preset in the gateway device; and the second SSID is preset in the terminal device.

5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein acquiring the first service set identifier (SSID) of the gateway device comprises:

acquiring the first SSID of the gateway device when the terminal device connects to the gateway device for the first time.

6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein receiving the private SSID and the key of the gateway comprises:

receiving the private SSID and the key after a verification performed by the gateway device on the second SSID succeeds.

7. A terminal device, comprising:

a memory;

one or more processors;

one or more programs stored in the memory which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the terminal device to:

acquire, from the gateway device, a first service set identifier (SSID) of the gateway device;

perform a verification on the first SSID;

automatically send a second SSID to the gateway device and establishing a first connection between the terminal device and the gateway device when verification performed on the first SSID succeeds;

receive a private SSID and a key of the gateway device via the established first connection;

automatically disconnect the established first connection between the terminal device and the gateway device; and

automatically establish a second connection between the terminal device and the gateway device based on the private SSID and the key for connecting the terminal device to the Internet via the second connection.

8. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein to perform verification on the first SSID, the one or more programs stored in the memory, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the terminal device to:

compare the received first SSID with the second SSID preset in the terminal device; and

when the first SSID and the second SSID are the same SSID, verification on the first SSID succeeds.

9. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein the first SSID and the second SSID are the same SSID.

10. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein:

the first SSID is preset in the gateway device; and

the second SSID is preset in the terminal device.

11. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein the first service set identifier (SSID) of the gateway device is acquired when the terminal device connects to the gateway device for the first time.

12. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein the private SSID and the key of the gateway is received after a verification performed by the gateway device on the second SSID succeeds.

13. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein the one or more programs stored in the memory, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the terminal device to:

detect whether a strength of a wireless signal between the terminal device and the gateway device satisfies a preset strength threshold.

14. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein the one or more programs stored in the memory, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the terminal device to:

send a first request message for establishing the first connection.

15. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein to automatically establish a second connection between the terminal device and the gateway device based on the private SSID and the key, the one or more programs stored in the memory, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the terminal device to:

send a second request message for establishing the second connection; and

receive a response message for establishing the second connection when a verification performed by the gateway device on the private SSID and the key succeeds.

16. The terminal device according to claim 7 , wherein the one or more programs stored in the memory, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the terminal device to:

send a response message to the gateway device for notifying the gateway device that the private SSID and the key have been acquired.

17. A system, comprising:

a gateway comprising a first service set identifier (SSID) and a private SSID; and

a mobile device, comprising:

a memory,

one or more processors,

one or more programs stored in the memory which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the terminal device to:

acquire, from the gateway device, the first SSID of the gateway device;

perform a verification on the first SSID;

automatically send a second SSID to the gateway device and establish a first connection between the terminal device and the gateway device when verification performed on the first SSID succeeds;

receive a private SSID and a key of the gateway device via the established first connection;

automatically disconnect the first connection between the terminal device and the gateway device; and

automatically establish a second connection between the terminal device and the gateway device based on the private SSID and the key for connecting the terminal device to the Internet via the second connection.

18. The system according to claim 17 , wherein to perform verification on the first SSID, the one or more programs stored in the memory, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the terminal device to:

compare the received first SSID with the second SSID preset in the terminal device; and

when the first SSID and the second SSID are the same SSID, verification on the first SSID succeeds.

19. The system according to claim 17 , wherein the first SSID and the second SSID are the same SSID.

20. The system according to claim 17 , wherein:

the first SSID is preset in the gateway device; and

the second SSID is preset in the terminal device.
