Mining collectors
View Patent ↗A family of amine mining collectors that uses alkoxylates allows for the easy adjustment of solubility and molecular weight useful because anionic and cationic mineral collectors require such varying degrees of solubility and molecular weight. The family of the present invention allows for the optimization of both parameters and an increase in collector efficiency.
1. An asphalt emulsifier and its relevant salts of the following structure:
where R is linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, cyclic or acyclic alkyl group from 1 to 9 carbons, R 1 is chosen from —CH 3 or —CH 2 CH 3 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are independently chosen from —H, alkyl, and —(CH 2 CH 2 O) p H—(CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) q H—(CH(CH 2 CH 3 )CH 2 O) r H, and A and D, are independently chosen from alkyl of 1-22 carbon atoms —CH 2 COOH, —CH 2 CH 2 COOH, —CH(CH 3 )COOH, —CH 2 —C 6 H 6 , and O, n is a positive integer, m, p, q and r are non-negative integers; R 2 and R 3 or A and D need not be present; when A and D or R 2 and R 3 are not present, then N is not a cation.
2. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant salts of claim 1 where R 2 =R 3 =R 4 =—H, A and D are not present.
3. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant salts of claim 1 where R 2 =R 3 =R 4 =A=D-CH 3 .
4. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant salts of claim 1 where R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are independently chosen from —(CH 2 CH 2 O) p H—(CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) q H—(CH(CH 2 CH 3 )CH 2 O) r H, p, q and r are non-negative integers, A and D are not present.
5. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant salts of claim 1 where R 2 =R 3 =R 4 =—CH 3 , A=D=—CH 2 COOH.
6. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant of claim 1 where R 2 =R 3 =R 4 =—CH 3 , A=D=—CH 2 CH(CH 3 )COOH.
7. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant saltst of claim 1 where R 2 =R 3 =R 4 =—CH 3 , A=D=—CH 2 CH 2 COOH.
8. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant salts of claim 1 where R 2 =R 3 =R 4 =—CH 3 , A=D=—O.
9. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant saltst of claim 1 where R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are independently chosen from —(CH 2 CH 2 O) p H—(CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) q H—(CH(CH 2 CH 3 )CH 2 O) r H, p, q and r are non-negative integers, A=D=—CH 3 .
10. The asphalt emulsifier and its relevant salts of claim 1 where R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are independently chosen from —(CH 2 CH 2 O) p H—(CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) q H—(CH(CH 2 CH 3 )CH 2 O) r H, p, q and r are non-negative integers, A=D=—O.
