Device having a liquid crystal layer provided between substrates
View Patent ↗A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate having a pixel electrode and a common electrode provided thereon; a second substrate formed of a resin material; a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate; an optical film facing the liquid crystal layer with the second substrate being provided between the optical film and the liquid crystal layer; and a conductive layer facing the second substrate; wherein the optical film is provided between the conductive layer and the second substrate.
1. A device, comprising:
a first substrate having a first electrode and a second electrode provided thereon;
a second substrate formed of a resin material;
a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, the liquid crystal layer being driven by an electric field between the first electrode and the second electrode;
an optical film facing the liquid crystal layer with the second substrate provided between the optical film and the liquid crystal layer; and
a conductive layer,
wherein the optical film is provided between the conductive layer and the second substrate.
2. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the second substrate has a thickness of 30 μm or less.
3. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the conductive layer is a layer containing a polymer having conductivity.
4. The device according to claim 1 , further comprising a color filter between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate.
5. The device according to claim 1 , further comprising a third substrate facing the optical film, the third substrate having the conductive layer,
wherein the conductive layer is provided between the third substrate and the optical film.
6. The device according to claim 5 , wherein the conductive layer is formed on the third substrate and has a pattern.
7. The device according to claim 1 , wherein a total thickness of the components between the liquid crystal layer and the conductive layer is at least ten times a thickness of the liquid crystal layer.
8. The device according to claim 1 , further comprising an insulating layer containing a black pigment between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate.
9. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the first substrate is formed of a resin material.
10. The device according to claim 2 , wherein the conductive layer is a layer containing a polymer having conductivity.
11. The device according to claim 2 , further comprising a color filter between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate.
12. The device according to claim 3 , further comprising a color filter between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate.
13. The device according to claim 2 , further comprising a third substrate facing the optical film, the third substrate having the conductive layer,
wherein the conductive layer is provided between the third substrate and the optical film.
14. The device according to claim 3 , further comprising a third substrate facing the optical film, the third substrate having the conductive layer,
wherein the conductive layer is provided between the third substrate and the optical film.
15. The device according to claim 4 , further comprising a third substrate facing the optical film, the third substrate having the conductive layer,
wherein the conductive layer is provided between the third substrate and the optical film.
16. The device according to claim 2 wherein a total thickness of the components between the liquid crystal layer and the conductive layer is at least ten times a thickness of the liquid crystal layer.
17. The device according to claim 3 wherein a total thickness of the components between the liquid crystal layer and the conductive layer is at least ten times a thickness of the liquid crystal layer.
18. The device according to claim 4 , wherein a total thickness of the components between the liquid crystal layer and the conductive layer is at least ten times a thickness of the liquid crystal layer.
19. The device according to claim 5 , wherein a total thickness of the components between the liquid crystal layer and the conductive layer is at least ten times a thickness of the liquid crystal layer.
20. The device according to claim 2 , further comprising an insulating layer containing a black pigment between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate.
