Abstract

A wireless device receives from a base station, first message(s) comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells grouped into a plurality of groups. The plurality of groups comprise: a primary group comprising a primary cell with a primary physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmitted to the base station; and a secondary group comprising a first plurality of secondary cells of the plurality of cells. The first plurality of secondary cells comprise a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH transmitted to the base station. A second message is received that comprises parameter(s) indicating a release of fewer secondary cells than the first plurality of secondary cells. The fewer secondary cells than the first plurality of secondary cells comprise the PUCCH secondary cell. The first plurality of secondary cells in the secondary group are released in response to the parameter(s) indicating the release of the PUCCH secondary cell.

Claims (38)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device from a base station, at least one first message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells grouped into a plurality of groups comprising:

a primary group comprising a primary cell with a primary physical uplink control channel (PUCCH); and

a secondary group comprising a first plurality of secondary cells of the plurality of cells, the first plurality of secondary cells comprising a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH;

transmitting a channel quality indicator (CQI) feedback indicating a signal quality on the PUCCH secondary cell;

receiving a second message comprising one or more parameters indicating a release of fewer secondary cells than the first plurality of secondary cells, wherein the fewer secondary cells than the first plurality of secondary cells comprises the PUCCH secondary cell; and

releasing the first plurality of secondary cells in the secondary group in response to the one or more parameters indicating the release of the PUCCH secondary cell.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration parameters comprise:

a plurality of common parameters; and

a plurality of dedicated parameters.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the CQI feedback indicates that the signal quality is below a first signal quality value.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting measurement reports indicating that a signal quality on the PUCCH secondary cell is below a second signal quality value.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting a third message indicating a radio link issue with the PUCCH secondary cell.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second message comprises a cell index of the PUCCH secondary cell.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting channel state information via the secondary PUCCH.

8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising stopping the transmitting channel state information in response to releasing the first plurality of secondary cells.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second message comprises a radio resource control reconfiguration message.

10. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting an out of range CQI corresponding to the PUCCH secondary cell.

11. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive from a base station, at least one first message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells grouped into a plurality of groups comprising:

a primary group comprising a primary cell with a primary physical uplink control channel (PUCCH); and

a secondary group comprising a first plurality of secondary cells of the plurality of cells, the first plurality of secondary cells comprising a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH;

transmit a channel quality indicator (CQI) feedback indicating a signal quality on the PUCCH secondary cell;

receive a second message comprising one or more parameters indicating a release of fewer secondary cells than the first plurality of secondary cells, wherein the fewer secondary cells than the first plurality of secondary cells comprises the PUCCH secondary cell; and

release the first plurality of secondary cells in the secondary group in response to the one or more parameters indicating the release of the PUCCH secondary cell.

12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the configuration parameters comprise:

a plurality of common parameters; and

a plurality of dedicated parameters.

13. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the CQI feedback indicates that the signal quality is below a first signal quality value.

14. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the wireless device to transmit measurement reports indicating that a signal quality on the PUCCH secondary cell below a second signal quality value.

15. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the wireless device to transmit a third message indicating a radio link issue with the PUCCH secondary cell.

16. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the second message comprises a cell index of the PUCCH secondary cell.

17. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed further cause the wireless device to transmit channel state information via the secondary PUCCH.

18. The wireless device of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed further cause the wireless device to stop the transmitting channel state information in response to releasing the first plurality of secondary cells.

19. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the second message comprises a radio resource control reconfiguration message.

20. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed further cause the wireless device to transmit an out of range CQI corresponding to the PUCCH secondary cell.
