Method for the treatment or prevention of lower urinary tract symptoms
This invention concerns a method for treatment or prevention of lower urinary tract symptoms with or without pelvic pain in an individual, said method comprising administering to the individual an effective amount of a selective estrogen receptor modulator, or an isomer, isomer mixture or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

A method for treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms with or without pelvic pain in a male individual, said method comprising administering to the individual an effective amount of (Z)-2-{2-[4-(4-Chloro-1,2-diphenylbut-1-enyl)phenoxy]ethoxy}ethanol (fispemifene), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the lower urinary tract symptoms comprise abacterial prostatitis.
2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the method comprises administering to the individual an effective amount of fispemifene.
