Abstract

A driving mechanism is provided, including a housing, a hollow frame, a holder, and a driving assembly. The frame is fixed to the housing and has a stop surface. The holder is movably disposed in the housing for holding the optical element. The driving assembly is disposed in the housing to drive the holder and the optical element moving along the optical axis of the optical element relative to the frame. Specifically, the stop surface is parallel to the optical axis to contact the holder and restrict the holder in a limit position.

Claims (34)

1. A driving mechanism for moving an optical element, comprising:

a housing;

a base, connected to the housing;

a quadrilateral hollow frame affixed to the housing, having a stop surface and a plurality of protrusions extending toward the base, wherein each of the protrusions has an end portion, and the end portions of the protrusions are separated from and not connected to each other;

a holder, movably disposed in the frame for holding the optical element, wherein the stop surface faces the holder;

a driving assembly, comprising a magnet and a coil disposed in the housing for driving the holder and the optical element to move relative to the housing along an optical axis of the optical element, wherein the stop surface is parallel to the optical axis and configured to contact and restrict the holder in a limit position; and

a circuit board, electrically connected to the driving assembly and extended from a first side to a second side of the frame, wherein the coil is affixed to the holder, and the magnet is affixed to the frame and received in a depressed portion of the circuit board.

2. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the frame and the holder comprises plastic material.

3. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the end portions of the protrusions are closer to a light incident side of the optical axis than a bottom surface of the holder.

4. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the magnet is affixed to the frame and situated between two of the protrusions.

5. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising an integrated circuit element disposed on the circuit board, wherein the integrated circuit element is located between the protrusions.

6. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the protrusions are situated in the depressed portion.

7. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the circuit board has an L-shaped structure.

8. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the circuit board and the magnet at least partially overlap in a direction parallel to the optical axis.

9. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the frame further has a stage located at a corner of the frame and extending toward the base, and a part of the circuit board is located between the stage and the housing.

10. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the base has a stage extended toward the frame, and a part of the circuit board is located between the stage and the housing.

11. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the circuit board has a first terminal electrically connected to an external circuit and a second terminal connected to the driving assembly, the first terminal is located on the first side, and the second terminal is located on the second side.

12. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising an integrated circuit element disposed on the circuit board, wherein the magnet is located on the first side, and the integrated circuit element is located on the second side.

13. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the magnet comprises two magnetic units having opposite polar directions.

14. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a length of the magnet along a longitudinal axis of the magnet is greater than that of the coil along the longitudinal axis.

15. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising an integrated circuit element, a displacement sensing element, and a filter element, wherein the integrated circuit element, the displacement sensing element, and the filter element are disposed on the circuit board, and the integrated circuit element is located between the displacement sensing element and the filter element.

16. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a resilient element connecting the holder with the frame, whereby the holder is suspended in the housing.

17. A driving mechanism for moving an optical element, comprising:

a housing;

a hollow frame, affixed to the housing and having a stop surface;

a holder, movably disposed in the frame for holding the optical element, wherein the stop surface faces the holder;

a driving assembly, disposed in the housing for driving the holder and the optical element to move relative to the housing along an optical axis of the optical element, wherein the stop surface is parallel to the optical axis and configured to contact and restrict the holder in a limit position;

a circuit board, electrically connected to the driving assembly;

an integrated circuit element, disposed on the circuit board;

a displacement sensing element, disposed on the circuit board; and

a filter element, disposed on the circuit board, wherein the integrated circuit element is located between the displacement sensing element and the filter element.

18. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 17 , further comprising a base connected to the housing, wherein the frame has a plurality of protrusions extending toward the base, and each of the protrusions has an end portion, wherein the end portions of the protrusions are separated from and not connected to each other.

19. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 18 , wherein the end portions of the protrusions are closer to a light incident side of the optical axis than a bottom surface of the holder.

20. The driving mechanism as claimed in claim 18 , wherein the driving assembly comprises a magnet and a coil, the coil is affixed to the holder, and the magnet is affixed to the frame and situated between two of the protrusions.
