6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, based on at least one of: a user-provided score associated with the precedent or a quantity of uses of the precedent across other data analysis sessions, a score for the precedent; and

determining, based on the score for the precedent, that the precedent is to be recommended or not recommended.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more parameters comprise at least one of: a class, a match criteria, a scope, or a content type.

8. An apparatus comprising:

one or more processors, and

a memory storing processor executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:

monitor one or more data analysis sessions associated with a dataset comprising a plurality of data records, wherein the one or more data analysis sessions comprise one or more user selections of one or more graphical objects of a plurality of graphical objects via one or more user interfaces, and wherein the one or more user selections of the one or more graphical objects cause a selection of one or more data records of the plurality of data records;

determine, based on the monitored one or more data analysis sessions, a common data analysis technique performed across the one or more data analysis sessions, wherein the common data analysis technique comprises a result of an evaluation of the one or more data records that are selected based on the one or more user selections of the one or more graphical objects via the one or more user interfaces;

identify the common data analysis technique as a precedent;

determining one or more dimensions associated with the one or more data records;

provide the precedent to a precedent engine, wherein the precedent comprises one or more parameters based on the one or more dimensions;

monitor a further data analysis session comprising one or more further user selections of the plurality of graphical objects via the one or more user interfaces, wherein the one or more further user selections cause a selection of a portion of the plurality of data records associated with the one or more dimensions and indicative of the one or more parameters;

provide, based on the one or more further user selections, at least one further graphical object, via the one or more user interfaces, during the further data analysis session, wherein the at least one further graphical object comprises an indication that the precedent is available to be applied to the further data analysis session,

receive, via the one or more user interfaces during the further data analysis session, a selection of the at least one further graphical object; and

apply, by the precedent engine, based on the selection of the at least one further graphical object, the precedent to the further data analysis session, wherein applying the precedent comprises performing the common data analysis technique based on the portion of the plurality of data records.

9. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the one or more dimensions comprise one or more classification variables within the plurality of data records.

10. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the common data analysis technique comprises one or more of an expression, a visualization, or an aggregation.

11. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the common data analysis technique comprises one or more of a common user, a common data set, a common data type, a common visualization, or a common title.

12. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor executable instructions that cause the apparatus to determine the common data analysis technique performed across the one or more data analysis sessions further cause the apparatus to determine a common feature associated with the one or more data analysis sessions, wherein the common feature comprises one or more of a common user, a common data set, a common data type, a common visualization, or a common title.

13. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the further data analysis session comprises a visualization of the dataset based on the one or more further user selections, and wherein the processor executable instructions that cause the apparatus to apply the precedent to the further data analysis session further cause the apparatus to apply the precedent to the visualization of the dataset.

14. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising processor-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing device, cause the computing device to:

monitor one or more data analysis sessions associated with a dataset comprising a plurality of data records, wherein the one or more data analysis sessions comprise one or more user selections of one or more graphical objects of a plurality of graphical objects via one or more user interfaces, and wherein the one or more user selections of the one or more graphical objects cause a selection of one or more data records of the plurality of data records;

determine, based on the monitored one or more data analysis sessions, a common data analysis technique performed across the one or more data analysis sessions, wherein the common data analysis technique comprises a result of an evaluation of the one or more data records that are selected based on the one or more user selections of the one or more graphical objects via the one or more user interfaces;
