Claims (21)

- 33 . (canceled)

. A method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human comprising administering ertugliflozin or a co-crystal thereof in a therapeutically effective amount to the human, wherein the human has type 2 or type 1 diabetes.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 34 , wherein the human has type 2 diabetes.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 34 , wherein the ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof is administered as a pharmaceutical composition.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 36 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises from 0.1 to 500 mg of ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 36 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises from 1 to 200 mg.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 36 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises from 2 to 100 mg.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 36 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises from 2 to 20 mg of ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 36 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises 5 mg of ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 36 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises 5 mg of ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a human of claim 36 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition is administered once daily.

. A method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human comprising administering ertugliflozin or a co-crystal thereof in a therapeutically effective amount to the human, wherein the human has type 2 or type 1 diabetes.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 44 , wherein the human has type 2 diabetes.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 44 , wherein the ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof is administered as a pharmaceutical composition.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 46 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises from 0.1 to 500 mg of ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 46 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises from 1 to 200 mg.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 46 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises from 2 to 100 mg.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 46 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises from 2 to 20 mg of ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 46 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises 5 mg of ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 46 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition comprises 5 mg of ertugliflozin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a co-crystal thereof.

. The method of reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in a human of claim 46 , wherein, the pharmaceutical composition is administered once daily.
