determining that a current time of the base station is within a communication window; and

in response to the current time being within the communication window, broadcasting the poll.

6. The base station of claim 1 , wherein the processor executes the instructions to perform further actions, including:

determining if a current time of the base station is within a communication window;

in response to the current time being within the communication window, broadcasting the poll; and

in response to the current time being outside the communication window, waiting for the current time to be within the communication window.

7. The base station of claim 1 , wherein:

the respective configuration information comprises at least one setting for one or more sensors of the responsive kinematic implantable device; and

the processor executes the instructions to perform further actions, including:

receiving, via the network communication interface, the configuration information for the responsive kinematic implantable device from another computing device, the configuration information comprising a change to the at least one setting for the one or more sensors; and

providing, via the radio, the configuration information to the responsive kinematic implantable device.

8. The base station of claim 1 , wherein:

the respective configuration information comprise settings for a mode of operation of the responsive kinematic implantable device; and

the processor executes the instructions to perform further actions, including:

receiving, via the network communication interface, the configuration information for the responsive kinematic implantable device from another computing device, the configuration information comprising a change to the mode of operation; and

providing, via the radio, the configuration information to the responsive kinematic implantable device.

9. The base station of claim 8 , wherein:

the responsive kinematic implantable device is configured to operate in a plurality of different modes including a high-resolution mode during which high-resolution kinematic data is sensed and collected; and
