Abstract

A method of advertisement filtering including receiving advertisements from a multiple of access controls; filtering the received advertisements based on a credential on the mobile device; comparing the filtered received advertisements and determining a user intent to access a particular access control in response to the comparing and to a destination intent.

Claims (29)

1. A method of advertisement filtering, comprising:

receiving advertisements from each of a multiple of locks on a mobile device;

filtering the received advertisements based on a downloaded set of credential on the mobile device such that the received advertisements not associated with the set of credentials downloaded to the mobile device are filtered out, wherein the filtering is based on an identifier contained in the lock advertisement message and matching this identifier against an identifier contained in, or associated with, a credential stored in the mobile device;

comparing the filtered received advertisements on the mobile device; and

determining a user intent to access a particular lock from each of a multiple of locks in response to the comparing and to a personal intent on the mobile device, wherein the personal intent is based on a movement of a user and the proximity between the mobile device and each of the multiple of locks.

2. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the movement is based on a biometric of the user.

3. The method as recited in claim 2 , where the biometric is tracking eye motion.

4. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the personal intent is based on a selection from a visual map.

5. The method as recited in claim 4 , wherein the visual map is displayed on the mobile device.

6. The method as recited in claim 4 , wherein the visual map is displayed on another device or surface.

7. The method as recited in claim 6 , wherein the visual map can communicate with the mobile device.

8. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the personal intent is input in response to haptic feedback.

9. The method as recited in claim 8 , wherein the haptic feedback is provided to the user by the mobile device when in proximity to the lock.

10. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein proximity is determined by reading a Near Field Communication (NFC) tag.

11. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein proximity is determined by reading a Quick Response (QR) code.

12. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein proximity is determined by a first Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) threshold for an amount of time.

13. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein personal intent is determined by a first Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) threshold and by the non-motion of the mobile device.

14. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the proximity between the mobile device and the lock is based on a known user route and a time of day.

15. An access control system, comprising:

a multiple of locks; and

a mobile device in communication with the multiple of locks, the mobile device operable to determine a user intent to access a particular lock of the multiple of locks based at least in part on a personal intent, wherein the personal intent is based on a movement of a user and the proximity between the mobile device and each of the multiple of locks, the mobile device containing instructions comprising:

receiving advertisements from each of the multiple of locks;

filtering the received advertisements based on a downloaded set of credentials on the mobile device such that the received advertisements not associated with the set of credentials downloaded to the mobile device are filtered out, wherein the filtering is based on an identifier contained in the access control advertisement message and matching this identifier against an identifier contained in or associated with a credential stored in the mobile device;

comparing the filtered received advertisements on the mobile device; and

determining a user intent to access a particular lock from each of a multiple of locks in response to the comparing and to a personal intent on the mobile device, wherein the personal intent is based on a movement of a user and the proximity between the mobile device and each of the multiple of locks.

16. The system as recited in claim 15 , wherein the personal intent is based at least in part on an accelerometer in the mobile device.

17. The system as recited in claim 15 , wherein the personal intent is based at least in part on a global positioning system receiver in the mobile device.

18. The system as recited in claim 15 , wherein the personal intent is based at least in part on an app for the mobile device.

19. The system as recited in claim 15 , wherein the personal intent is based at least in part upon motion of the mobile device when in proximity to the lock.
