Abstract

A method for producing vehicles, wherein vehicle bodies are conveyed through multiple system zones of a production system in order to produce vehicles. Different types of work are carried out on the vehicle bodies in two respective system zones which follow each other. The vehicle bodies are conveyed through the system zones of the surface treatment system at least from a corrosion protection treatment to a final assembly using a single conveyor system in a surface treatment system for treating the surface of the vehicle bodies. A surface treatment system is provided for treating the surface of vehicle bodies, having multiple system zones, and the vehicle bodies are treated in a different manner in two respective system zones which follow each other. The surface treatment system is designed such that the vehicle bodies can be conveyed through the system zones of the system using a single conveyor system. A production system for producing vehicles using a surface treatment system is also provided, which is arranged between a corrosion protection system and a final assembly system, the production system including such a surface treatment system.

Claims (13)

1. A method for producing vehicles comprising:

conveying vehicle bodies through a plurality of facility zones of a production facility for producing vehicles, wherein different types of work are carried out on the vehicle bodies in two facility zones which follow one another, wherein

the vehicle bodies are conveyed through facility zones of a surface treatment facility for the surface treatment of the vehicle bodies, at least from an anticorrosion treatment to a final assembly in the surface treatment facility, with a single conveying system, wherein the single conveying system comprises a multiplicity of transport carriages which are displaceable in a transporting direction on a rail system, wherein each transport carriage comprises a transport-carriage chassis and a fastening device for at least one vehicle body, the transport-carriage chassis and the fastening device being coupled together by a connecting device, and

the vehicle bodies are treated in at least one facility zone in at least one treatment installation which comprises a housing in which a treatment tunnel having a tunnel floor is accommodated, wherein the tunnel floor has a connecting passage and there is a travel space, arranged beneath the treatment tunnel, for the transport-carriage chassis, such that the transport-carriage chassis is movable in the travel space, wherein the fastening device is carried along in the treatment tunnel and the connecting device extends through the connecting passage.

2. The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the vehicle bodies are conveyed in an anticorrosion facility with the single conveying system as in the surface treatment facility.

3. The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the vehicle bodies are conveyed in a bodyshell facility with the single conveying system as in the surface treatment facility.

4. The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the vehicle bodies are conveyed in an assembly facility with the single conveying system as in the surface treatment facility.

5. A method for producing vehicles comprising:

conveying vehicle bodies through a plurality of facility zones of a production facility for producing vehicles, wherein different types of work are carried out on the vehicle bodies in two facility zones which follow one another,

wherein

the vehicle bodies are conveyed through facility zones of a surface treatment facility for the surface treatment of the vehicle bodies, at least from an anticorrosion treatment to a final assembly in the surface treatment facility, with a single conveying system, wherein the single conveying system comprises a multiplicity of transport carriages which are displaceable in a transporting direction on a rail system, wherein each transport carriage comprises a transport-carriage chassis and a fastening device for at least one vehicle body, the transport-carriage chassis and the fastening device being coupled together by a connecting device, and

wherein the multiplicity of transport carriages each carry along their own drive system and are driven and displaced independently of one another.

6. The method as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the vehicle bodies are conveyed in an assembly facility with the single conveying system as in the surface treatment facility.
