Abstract

Technical solutions are described for a seller to bypass a spam filter. An example method includes sending, by a message preempting apparatus, for receipt by a server corresponding to the seller, a transaction identifier in response to a transaction between a user and the seller. The method also includes sending, by the message preempting apparatus, for receipt by a messaging server, the transaction identifier, where the messaging server, in response, bypasses a spam filter for a message that is associated with the transaction identifier.

Claims (38)

1. A computer implemented method for a seller to bypass a spam filter, the method comprising:

initiating, by a transaction server, a transaction between a buyer and a server corresponding to the seller, the transaction being associated with a seller-identifier and a buyer-identifier;

generating, by the transaction server, a transaction identifier based on the seller-identifier and the buyer-identifier;

sending, by the transaction server, the transaction identifier for receipt by a messaging server associated with the buyer, wherein the messaging server adds the transaction identifier to a spam filter whitelist to bypass the spam filter that is maintained by the messaging server;

sending, by the transaction server, the transaction identifier for receipt by the server corresponding to the seller, which sends a message to the messaging server after completion of the transaction, the message including the transaction identifier to bypass the spam filter; and

sending, by the transaction server, to the messaging server, a request to remove the transaction identifier from the spam filter whitelist that is maintained by the messaging server to bypass the spam filter, the request generated in response to a predetermined number of messages that include the transaction identifier being sent by the server corresponding to the seller.

2. The computer implemented method of claim 1 further comprising, receiving by the transaction server, an indication of the transaction between the buyer and the seller from an e-commerce server.

3. The computer implemented method of claim 1 further comprising, sending, by the transaction server, for receipt by the messaging server, the seller-identifier.

4. The computer implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the messaging server uses a combination of the transaction identifier and the seller-identifier to bypass the spam filter for the message that is associated with the transaction identifier and the seller-identifier.

5. The computer implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the message includes the transaction identifier in at least one of a header and a payload of the message.

6. The computer implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction server further sends the request to remove the transaction identifier from the spam filter whitelist in response to completion of a predetermined duration since sending the transaction identifier to the messaging server.

7. The computer implemented method of claim 1 further comprising, sending, by the transaction server, a payment associated with the transaction between the buyer and the seller.

8. A system for filtering messages, the system comprising:

a communication interface configured to send and receive messages;

a memory device; and

a processor coupled with the memory device and the communication interface, the processor configured to perform a method for a seller to bypass a spam filter, the method comprising:

initiating a transaction between a buyer and a server corresponding to the seller, the transaction being associated with a seller-identifier and a buyer-identifier;

generating a transaction identifier based on the seller-identifier and the buyer-identifier;

sending the transaction identifier for receipt by a messaging server associated with the buyer, wherein the messaging server adds the transaction identifier to a spam filter whitelist to bypass the spam filter that is maintained by the messaging server;

sending the transaction identifier for receipt by the server corresponding to the seller, which sends a message to the messaging server after completion of the transaction, the message including the transaction identifier to bypass the spam filter; and

sending to the messaging server, a request to remove the transaction identifier from the spam filter whitelist that is maintained by the messaging server to bypass the spam filter, the request generated in response to a predetermined number of messages that include the transaction identifier being sent by the server corresponding to the seller.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the method further comprises, receiving an indication of the transaction between the buyer and the seller from an e-commerce server.

10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the method further comprises, sending for receipt by the messaging server, the seller-identifier.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the messaging server uses a combination of the transaction identifier and the seller-identifier to bypass the spam filter for the message that is associated with the transaction identifier and the seller-identifier.

12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the message includes the transaction identifier in at least one of a header and a payload of the message.

13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the transaction server further sends the request to remove the transaction identifier from the spam filter whitelist in response to completion of a predetermined duration since sending the transaction identifier to the messaging server.

14. The system of claim 8 , wherein the method further comprises, sending a payment associated with the transaction between the buyer and the seller.

15. A computer program product for filtering messages, the computer program product comprising a computer readable storage medium, the computer readable storage medium comprising computer executable instructions, wherein the computer readable storage medium comprises instructions to perform a method comprising:

initiating a transaction between a buyer and a server corresponding to a seller, the transaction being associated with a seller-identifier and a buyer-identifier;

generating a transaction identifier based on the seller-identifier and the buyer-identifier;

sending the transaction identifier for receipt by a messaging server associated with the buyer, wherein the messaging server adds the transaction identifier to a spam filter whitelist to bypass the spam filter that is maintained by the messaging server;

sending the transaction identifier for receipt by the server corresponding to the seller, which sends a message to the messaging server after completion of the transaction, the message including the transaction identifier to bypass the spam filter; and

sending to the messaging server, a request to remove the transaction identifier from the spam filter whitelist that is maintained by the messaging server to bypass the spam filter, the request generated in response to a predetermined number of messages that include the transaction identifier being sent by the server corresponding to the seller.

16. The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein the method further comprises, receiving an indication of the transaction between the buyer and the seller from an e-commerce server.

17. The computer program product of claim 16 , wherein the method further comprises, sending for receipt by the messaging server, the seller-identifier.

18. The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein the messaging server uses a combination of the transaction identifier and the seller-identifier to bypass the spam filter for the message that is associated with the transaction identifier and the seller-identifier.

19. The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein the message includes the transaction identifier in at least one of a header and a payload of the message.

20. The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein the transaction server further sends the request to remove the transaction identifier from the spam filter whitelist in response to completion of a predetermined duration since sending the transaction identifier to the messaging server.
