Abstract

Vaporizer cartridges are provided. In some implementations, a cartridge includes a body having a base region sized to be inserted into a receptacle on a device, a mouthpiece at a proximal end of the body, a reservoir configured to hold a vaporizable material, a wick positioned to contact the vaporizable material, a resistive heating element having a pair of heating element ends, and a pair of plates away from the distal end. The plates are in contact with the pair of heating element ends, have a contact end exposed on an outer surface of a distal end of the body, and are configured to complete a circuit with the device when the base region is inserted into the receptacle, the exposed contact ends disposed in a first plane on the distal end. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.

2. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the flattened body is transparent.

3. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the exposed contact ends of the pair of plates are configured to mate with a pair of electrical contacts comprising pogo pins in the receptacle of the body of the vaporization device to complete the circuit.

4. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the resistive heating element and at least a part of the wick are disposed within a heater chamber that further comprises a condensation chamber.

5. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the mouthpiece is fitted onto the proximal end of the flattened body.

6. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the mouthpiece is coupled to the flattened body with a snap-fit coupling.

7. The cartridge of claim 1 , further comprising an air passage that connects an air inlet passage to a heater chamber, the air inlet passage formed by insertion of the base region into the receptacle on the first end of the body of the vaporization device, and the resistive heating element and at least a part of the wick being disposed in the heater chamber.

8. The cartridge of claim 1 , further comprising a channel integral to an exterior surface, wherein the channel forms a first side of an air inlet passage when the base region is inserted into the receptacle on the first end of the body of the vaporization device.

9. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the mouthpiece is positioned at least partially over the reservoir and has a notch providing a view into the reservoir.

10. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein, when the base region is inserted into the receptacle on the first end of the body of the vaporization device, the first plane is substantially parallel to a second plane in which a pair of contact surfaces in the receptacle on the first end of the body of the vaporization device are substantially disposed.

11. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the base region is 13 millimeters to 14 millimeters long and 4.5 millimeters to 5.5 millimeters wide.

12. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the receptacle on the first end of the body of the vaporization device is 13 millimeters to 14 millimeters long and 4.5 millimeters to 5.5 millimeters wide.

13. The cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the base region comprises a first side and a second side opposite of the first side, and wherein the first side comprises a spacing detent.

14. The cartridge of claim 13 , wherein the spacing detent is configured to separate at least a portion of the first side from an interior wall of the receptacle on the first end of the body of the vaporization device.

15. The cartridge of claim 12 , wherein the resistive heater is enclosed by the heater chamber disposed at the distal end of the cartridge.

16. The cartridge of claim 15 , wherein the flattened body is transparent.

17. The cartridge of claim 15 , wherein the resistive heater is disposed within a heater chamber.

18. The cartridge of claim 15 , wherein the resistive heater is enclosed by a heater chamber disposed at the distal end of the cartridge.

19. The cartridge of claim 15 , further wherein the mouthpiece is fitted onto the proximal end of the flattened body.

20. The cartridge of claim 15 , further wherein the mouthpiece is coupled to the flattened body with a snap-fit coupling.

21. The cartridge of claim 15 , further comprising a channel integral to an exterior surface, wherein the channel forms a first side of an air inlet passage when the base region is inserted into the receptacle on the first end of the body of the vaporization device.

22. The cartridge of claim 15 , wherein the resistive heating element is attached to the pair of plates.

23. The cartridge of claim 15 , further comprising an air passage that connects an air inlet passage to a heater chamber, the air inlet passage formed by insertion of the base region into the receptacle on the first end of the body of the vaporization device, and the resistive heating element and at least part of the wick being disposed in the heater chamber.
