Abstract

A user equipment (UE) is described. The UE comprises a higher layer processor configured to acquire a dedicated radio resource control (RRC) configuration for a downlink slot aggregation, physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) receiving circuitry configured to monitor a PDCCH carrying a downlink control information (DCI) format for scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), and PDSCH receiving circuitry configured to receive the PDSCH. When the PDCCH is with a first radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), the downlink slot aggregation applies to the PDSCH. When the PDCCH is with a second RNTI, the downlink slot aggregation does not apply to the PDSCH.

Claims (29)

1. A user equipment comprising:

a processor configured to acquire a dedicated radio resource control (RRC) configuration for a downlink slot aggregation and configured to monitor a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) carrying a downlink control information (DCI) format which schedules a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH); and

receiving circuitry configured to receive the PDSCH; wherein:

whether the PDSCH is (a) a PDSCH to which the downlink slot aggregation is applied or (b) a PDSCH to which the downlink slot aggregation is not applied is determined based on whether the PDCCH is (i) a PDCCH with Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) scrambled by a first type of radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) or (ii) a PDCCH with CRC scrambled by a second type of RNTI different from the first type of RNTI.

2. The user equipment of claim 1 , wherein the first type of RNTI is a Cell-RNTI (C-RNTI), and the second type of RNTI is one of a System Information-RNTI (SI-RNTI) and a Paging-RNTI (P-RNTI).

3. The user equipment of claim 1 , wherein the PDCCH with CRC scrambled by the first type of RNTI is monitored in a user-equipment search space (USS).

4. The user equipment of claim 1 , wherein the first type of RNTI at least includes a Cell-RNTI (C-RNTI).

5. A method for a user equipment, the method comprising:

acquiring, through a processor, a dedicated radio resource control (RRC) configuration for a downlink slot aggregation;

monitoring, through the processor, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) carrying a downlink control information (DCI) format which schedules a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH); and

receiving, through receiving circuitry, the PDSCH; wherein:

whether the PDSCH is (a) a PDSCH to which the downlink slot aggregation is applied or (b) a PDSCH to which the downlink slot aggregation is not applied is determined based on whether the PDCCH is (i) a PDCCH with Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) scrambled by a first type of radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) or (ii) a PDCCH with CRC scrambled by a second type of RNTI different from the first type of RNTI.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the first type of RNTI is a Cell-RNTI (C-RNTI), and the second type of RNTI is one of a System Information-RNTI (SI-RNTI) and a Paging-RNTI (P-RNTI).

7. The method of claim 5 , wherein the PDCCH with CRC scrambled by the first type of RNTI is monitored in a user-equipment search space (USS).

8. The method of claim 5 , wherein the first type of RNTI at least includes a Cell-RNTI (C-RNTI).

9. A base station comprising:

a processor configured to send a dedicated radio resource control (RRC) configuration for a downlink slot aggregation;

transmitting circuitry configured to transmit a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) carrying a downlink control information (DCI) format which schedules a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and configured to transmit the PDSCH; wherein:

whether the PDSCH is (a) a PDSCH to which the downlink slot aggregation is applied or (b) a PDSCH to which the downlink slot aggregation is not applied is determined based on whether the PDCCH is (i) a PDCCH with Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) scrambled by a first type of radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) or (ii) a PDCCH with CRC scrambled by a second type of RNTI different from the first type of RNTI.

10. The base station of claim 9 , wherein the first type of RNTI is a Cell-RNTI (C-RNTI), and the second type of RNTI is one of a System Information-RNTI (SI-RNTI) and a Paging-RNTI (P-RNTI).

11. The base station of claim 9 , wherein the PDCCH with CRC scrambled by the first type of RNTI is transmitted, through the transmitting circuitry, in a user-equipment search space (USS).

12. The base station of claim 9 , wherein the first type of RNTI at least includes a Cell-RNTI (C-RNTI).

13. A method for a base station, the method comprising:

sending, through a processor, a dedicated radio resource control (RRC) configuration for a downlink slot aggregation;

transmitting, through transmitting circuitry, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) carrying a downlink control information (DCI) format which schedules a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and transmitting, through the transmitting circuitry, the PDSCH; wherein:

whether the PDSCH is (a) a PDSCH to which the downlink slot aggregation is applied or (b) a PDSCH to which the downlink slot aggregation is not applied is determined based on whether the PDCCH is (i) a PDCCH with Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) scrambled by a first type of radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) or (ii) a PDCCH with CRC scrambled by a second type of RNTI different from the first type of RNTI.

14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the first type of RNTI is a Cell-RNTI (C-RNTI), and the second type of RNTI is one of a System Information-RNTI (SI-RNTI) and a Paging-RNTI (P-RNTI).

15. The method of claim 13 , wherein the PDCCH with CRC scrambled by the first type of RNTI is transmitted, through the transmitting circuitry, in a user-equipment search space (USS).

16. The method of claim 13 , wherein the first type of RNTI at least includes a Cell-RNTI (C-RNTI).
