Methods and compositions relating to microbial treatment and diagnosis of disorders
The present disclosure provides methods, systems, compositions, and kits to address the need for microbiome-related treatment of health conditions and disease. The present disclosure provides for treatment of metabolic conditions using microbial compositions.
1. A dosage form comprising:
a) a first microbe comprising a 16S rRNA sequence comprising at least 97% sequence identity to a 16S rRNA sequence of Akkermansia muciniphila,
b) a second microbe comprising a 16S rRNA sequence comprising at least 97% sequence identity to a 16S rRNA sequence of Eubacterium hallii , and
c) a third microbe comprising a 16S rRNA sequence comprising at least 97% sequence identity to a 16S rRNA sequence of Clostridium beijerinckii;
wherein said dosage form comprises:
an enteric coating, or
an effective amount of a preservative.
2. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form comprises at least 1×10 5 CFUs of said first microbe.
3. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form comprises at least 1×10 5 CFUs of said second microbe.
4. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form is a unit dosage form.
5. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form is in a single capsule.
6. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form is a food bar.
7. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form further comprises one or more additional microbes selected from the group consisting of: Bifidobacterium adolescentis, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium longum, Clostridium indolis , and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii.
8. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form further comprises Bifidobacterium infantis.
9. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said third microbe is Clostridium beijerinckii.
10. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said first microbe is Akkermansia muciniphila.
11. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said second microbe is Eubacterium hallii.
12. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said microbes are in a powder form in said dosage form.
13. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said microbes are in a liquid form in said dosage form.
14. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said microbes are in a gel form in said dosage form.
15. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form does not contain dairy.
16. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said first microbe, said second microbe, or said third microbe are lyophilized.
17. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form is an oral dosage form.
18. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form comprises at least 1×10 5 CFUs of said third microbe.
19. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said dosage form comprises at least 1×10 7 CFUs of said first microbe, said second microbe, or said third microbe.
20. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said first microbe, said second microbe, or said third microbe has been grown on plant-based media.
21. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said 16S rRNA sequence of said first microbe comprises at least 99% sequence identity to said 16S rRNA sequence of Akkermansia muciniphila.
22. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said 16S rRNA sequence of said second microbe comprises at least 99% sequence identity to said 16S rRNA sequence of Eubacterium hallii.
23. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said 16S rRNA sequence of said third microbe comprises at least 99% sequence identity to said 16S rRNA sequence of Clostridium beijerinckii.
24. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said 16S rRNA sequence of said first microbe comprises at least 99% sequence identity to said 16S rRNA sequence of Akkermansia muciniphila , said 16S rRNA sequence of said second microbe comprises at least 99% sequence identity to said 16S rRNA sequence of Eubacterium hallii , and said 16S rRNA sequence of said third microbe comprises at least 99% sequence identity to said 16S rRNA sequence of Clostridium beijerinckii.
25. The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein said first microbe is Akkermansia muciniphila , said second microbe is Eubacterium hallii , and said third microbe is Clostridium beijerinckii.
