Abstract

A method for simulating a social media account history may be provided. The method may include generating social media identification information (“social media ID”). The method may also include creating an account history for the social media ID with respect to a pre-determined entity. The creating may include identifying the social media ID with respect to at least one of a time-stamped indication of affinity for the predetermined entity. The creating may also include tagging of a photograph of the entity. The creating may also include linking of a photograph of the pre-determined entity. The creating may also include a threshold amount of streaming audio time relating to the predetermined entity. The method may also include querying the account history to determine whether the account history includes one or more parameters that indicate whether the social media ID information is related to an automated entity or a human entity.

Claims (59)

1. A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, at a server, a communication corresponding to a request to access a user account associated with an online platform, the communication including a user identifier that identifies a user;

automatically accessing one or more databases storing user data, the one or more databases being configured to enable access to the one or more databases upon receiving authorization from the user;

displaying a prompt on an interface associated with the online platform, the prompt requesting authorization to access the one or more databases;

receiving input at the interface, the input corresponding to an authorization to access the one or more databases, the authorization including at least one password;

in response to receiving the authorization to access the one or more databases, querying the one or more databases using the at least one password, the querying of the one or more databases identifying user data specific to the user;

generating a dynamic index value to represent whether the user is a reseller using automated software to access the interface associated with the online platform, the dynamic index value being updated upon new user data specific to the user being stored at the one or more databases, and the new user data being generated based on an interaction between the user and a social media network; and

determining whether or not to transmit a digital ticket offering based at least in part on the generated dynamic index value.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein determining whether or not to transmit the digital ticket offering comprises:

evaluating the dynamic index value by determining whether the dynamic index value satisfies a reseller user condition, the reseller user condition corresponding to a threshold value.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , further comprising:

receiving an indication that the user has interacted with the social media network, the interaction between the user and the social media network representing an affinity towards a performer; and

updating the dynamic index value in response to the interaction between the user and the social media network.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more databases corresponds to a third-party data source that monitors fan activity or identifies fan trends to determine how frequently a fan has access his or her streaming audio account.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more databases is associated with the social media network, wherein the at least one password grants access to a social media account associated with the user, and wherein the user data specific to the user corresponds to an affinity the user has towards one or more performers.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user data specific to the user includes one or more social media indications representing an interest of the user for one or more performers.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

comparing the dynamic index value against a threshold value;

determining that the user is associated with a reseller using automated software to access the interface based on the comparison; and

inhibiting the digital ticket offering to the user in response to determining that the user is associated with the reseller.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein an application programing interface (API) is administered by the automated software associated with the reseller to request assignment of access rights using the interface.

9. A system, comprising:

one or more data processors; and

a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium containing instructions which, when executed on the one or more data processors, cause the one or more data processors to perform operations including:

receiving, at a server, a communication corresponding to a request to access a user account associated with an online platform, the communication including a user identifier that identifies a user;

automatically accessing one or more databases storing user data, the one or more databases being configured to enable access to the one or more databases upon receiving authorization from the user;

displaying a prompt on an interface associated with the online platform, the prompt requesting authorization to access the one or more databases;

receiving input at the interface, the input corresponding to an authorization to access the one or more databases, the authorization including at least one password;

in response to receiving the authorization to access the one or more databases, querying the one or more databases using the at least one password, the querying of the one or more databases identifying user data specific to the user;

generating a dynamic index value to represent whether the user is a reseller using automated software to access the interface associated with the online platform, the dynamic index value being updated upon new user data specific to the user being stored at the one or more databases, and the new user data being generated based on an interaction between the user and a social media network; and

determining whether or not to transmit a digital ticket offering based at least in part on the generated dynamic index value.

10. The system of claim 9 , wherein determining whether or not to transmit the digital ticket offering comprises:

evaluating the dynamic index value by determining whether the dynamic index value satisfies a reseller user condition, the reseller user condition corresponding to a threshold value.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise:

receiving an indication that the user has interacted with the social media network, the interaction between the user and the social media network representing an affinity towards a performer; and

updating the dynamic index value in response to the interaction between the user and the social media network.

12. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more databases corresponds to a third-party data source that monitors fan activity or identifies fan trends to determine how frequently a fan has access his or her streaming audio account.

13. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more databases is associated with the social media network, wherein the at least one password grants access to a social media account associated with the user, and wherein the user data specific to the user corresponds to an affinity the user has towards one or more performers.

14. The system of claim 9 , wherein the user data specific to the user includes one or more social media indications representing an interest of the user for one or more performers.

15. The system of claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:

comparing the dynamic index value against a threshold value;

determining that the user is associated with a reseller using automated software to access the interface based on the comparison; and

inhibiting the digital ticket offering to the user in response to determining that the user is associated with the reseller.

16. A computer-program product tangibly embodied in a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium, including instructions configured to cause a data processing apparatus to perform operations including:

receiving, at a server, a communication corresponding to a request to access a user account associated with an online platform, the communication including a user identifier that identifies a user;

automatically accessing one or more databases storing user data, the one or more databases being configured to enable access to the one or more databases upon receiving authorization from the user;

displaying a prompt on an interface associated with the online platform, the prompt requesting authorization to access the one or more databases;

receiving input at the interface, the input corresponding to an authorization to access the one or more databases, the authorization including at least one password;

in response to receiving the authorization to access the one or more databases, querying the one or more databases using the at least one password, the querying of the one or more databases identifying user data specific to the user;

generating a dynamic index value to represent whether the user is a reseller using automated software to access the interface associated with the online platform, the dynamic index value being updated upon new user data specific to the user being stored at the one or more databases, and the new user data being generated based on an interaction between the user and a social media network; and

determining whether or not to transmit a digital ticket offering based at least in part on the generated dynamic index value.

17. The computer-program product of claim 16 , wherein determining whether or not to transmit the digital ticket offering comprises:

evaluating the dynamic index value by determining whether the dynamic index value satisfies a reseller user condition, the reseller user condition corresponding to a threshold value.
