Abstract

The invention provides compounds that are chemically modified by covalent attachment of a water-soluble oligomer. A compound of the invention, when administered by any of a number of administration routes, exhibits characteristics that are different from those of the compound not attached to the water-soluble oligomer.

Claims (22)

1. A compound having the formula:

wherein n is an integer having a value of from 1 to 9, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.

2. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 1.

3. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 2.

4. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 3.

5. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 4.

6. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 5.

7. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 6.

8. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 7.

9. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 8.

10. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 9.

11. A composition comprising a compound having the formula:

wherein n is an integer having a value of from 1 to 9, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof; and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

12. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 1.

13. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 2.

14. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 3.

15. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 4.

16. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 5.

17. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 6.

18. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 7.

19. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 8.

20. The composition of claim 11 , wherein n is 9.
