Channel state information transmission in carrier aggregation
A physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) secondary cell is in a first timing advance group. A wireless device receives a command initiating transmission of a preamble on the first TAG. The wireless device receives a response comprising a timing advance command (TAC) in subframe m. The wireless device starts transmission of uplink signals on the first TAG on or before subframe m+4. The wireless device starts transmission of valid channel state information (CSI) on the PUCCH secondary cell on or after subframe m+6.
1. A method comprising:
receiving configuration parameters of a secondary cell with a secondary physical uplink control channel, wherein the secondary cell is in a first timing advance group;
receiving, in a first subframe, a random access response comprising a timing advance command associated with the first timing advance group;
starting transmission of one or more transport blocks via the first timing advance group on or before a second subframe that is four subframes after the first subframe; and
starting transmission of valid channel state information via the secondary cell on or after a third subframe that is six subframes after the first subframe.
2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving an activation command indicating an activation of the secondary cell; and
receiving a control command for transmission of a preamble via the first timing advance group.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the random access response further comprises an uplink grant for transmission of the one or more transport blocks.
4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising starting a time alignment timer of the first timing advance group on or before the second subframe that is four subframes after the first subframe.
5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising adjusting uplink transmission timing on or after the third subframe that is six subframes after the first subframe.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the timing advance command is received when a time alignment timer of the first timing advance group is not running.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more transport blocks are transmitted on a physical uplink shared channel.
8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, in a fourth subframe and before receiving the timing advance command, an activation command configured to activate the secondary cell and starting a deactivation timer in a fifth subframe that is eight subframes after the fourth subframe.
9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration parameters further comprise parameters of a plurality of cells, wherein the plurality of cells are grouped into a plurality of physical uplink control channel groups comprising:
a primary physical uplink control channel group comprising a primary cell; and
a secondary physical uplink control channel group comprising the secondary cell.
10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the valid channel state information is for an activated cell in a secondary physical uplink control channel group.
11. A method comprising:
transmitting configuration parameters of a secondary cell with a secondary physical uplink control channel, wherein the secondary cell is in a first timing advance group;
transmitting, in a first subframe, a random access response comprising a timing advance command associated with the first timing advance group;
starting reception of one or more transport blocks via the first timing advance group on or before a second subframe that is four subframes after the first subframe; and
starting reception of valid channel state information via the secondary cell on or after a third subframe that is six subframes after the first subframe.
12. The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
transmitting an activation command indicating an activation of the secondary cell; and
transmitting a control command for transmission of a preamble via the first timing advance group.
13. The method of claim 11 , wherein the random access response further comprises an uplink grant for transmission of the one or more transport blocks.
14. The method of claim 11 , further comprising starting a time alignment timer of the first timing advance group on or before the second subframe that is four subframes after the first subframe.
15. The method of claim 11 , further comprising adjusting uplink transmission timing on or after the third subframe that is six subframes after the first subframe.
16. The method of claim 11 , wherein the timing advance command is transmitted when a time alignment timer of the first timing advance group is not running.
17. The method of claim 11 , wherein the one or more transport blocks are received on a physical uplink shared channel.
18. The method of claim 11 , further comprising transmitting, in a fourth subframe and before transmitting the timing advance command, an activation command configured to activate the secondary cell and starting a deactivation timer in a fifth subframe that is eight subframes after the fourth subframe.
19. The method of claim 11 , wherein the configuration parameters further comprise parameters of a plurality of cells, wherein the plurality of cells are grouped into a plurality of physical uplink control channel groups comprising:
a primary physical uplink control channel group comprising a primary cell; and
