Condition warning system, control system and method for pot and pan washing machine
A condition warning system for an apparatus such as a pot and pan washing machine, a control system and control methods for a pot and pan washing machine are provided. The condition warning system includes a control system that monitors operational, safety or compliance parameters of an apparatus, and a light that illuminates a location below (or above) an operator's direct line of sight, and which is outside of the operator's direct line of sight. The control system and control methods include a punitive wash action lockout, an extended wash cycle time, and a deep clean wash cycle.
1. A condition warning system comprising:
a control system that monitors operational, safety or compliance parameters of an apparatus;
a condition light operably connected to said control system, said light being mounted at a position and focused in a first direction that illuminates a location below a direct line of sight of an apparatus operator and wherein a source of illumination is outside of the direct line of sight; and
a first indication light operably connected to the control system, the first indication light being positioned relatively higher on the control system than the condition light and focused in a second direction, the second direction differing from the first direction,
wherein said apparatus comprises a continuous motion style pot and pan washing machine
wherein said condition light is configured to generate a first light signal signifying a first condition of the condition warning system, the first light signal being a first color and pattern combination;
wherein said condition light is configured to generate a second light signal signifying a second condition of the condition warning system, the second light signal being a second color and pattern combination;
wherein said condition light is mounted directly under a control panel of said control system, said control system being mounted directly under a work surface of said apparatus, and
wherein the first color and pattern combination differs from the second color and pattern combination.
2. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 1 wherein said work surface is positioned at a height that is convenient for access by the apparatus operator.
3. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 1 wherein said first color and pattern combination is a solid red light and said first condition is the end of a wash cycle.
4. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 3 wherein said second color and pattern combination is a flashing orange light and the second condition is an over temperature condition.
5. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 3 wherein said condition light is focused in said first direction, said first direction being a direction which illuminates a location below said light.
6. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 5 wherein said location below said condition light is a floor surface directly below said light.
7. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 5 wherein said location below said condition light is at least partially shaded from light sources within an area in which said condition light is located.
8. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said first light signal is a flashing indicator and the first condition is a predetermined time prior to the end of a wash cycle.
9. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 8 , wherein said second light signal is a solid light and the second condition is the end of a wash cycle.
10. The condition warning system of claim 1 , wherein one of said first and second light signal is a flashing light and one of said first and second condition is an error condition.
11. The condition warning system of claim 1 , wherein said condition light is configured to generate a third light signal signifying a third condition of the condition warning system, the third light being a third color and pattern combination.
12. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 1 wherein said work surface is positioned higher than a wash tank of said apparatus.
13. The condition warning system as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the second direction is substantially horizontal.
