Abstract

A light-emitting element includes a semiconductor light-emitting stack including a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer formed on the first semiconductor layer, and an active layer formed therebetween; a first conductive layer disposed on the second semiconductor layer and electrically connecting the second semiconductor layer; a second conductive layer disposed on the second semiconductor layer and electrically connecting the first semiconductor layer; and a cushion part disposed on and directly contacts the first conductive layer, wherein in a top view, the cushion part is surrounded by and electrically isolated from the second conductive layer.

Claims (29)

1. A light-emitting element comprises:

a semiconductor light-emitting stack comprising a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer formed on the first semiconductor layer, and an active layer formed therebetween;

a first conductive layer disposed on the second semiconductor layer and electrically connecting the second semiconductor layer;

a second conductive layer disposed on the second semiconductor layer and electrically connecting the first semiconductor layer; and

a cushion part disposed on and directly contacts the first conductive layer,

wherein the cushion part is surrounded by and electrically isolated from the second conductive layer, and the cushion part electrically connects to the first conductive layer.

2. The light-emitting element of claim 1 , further comprising one or a plurality of first depressions formed in the semiconductor light-emitting stack and penetrating the second semiconductor layer and the active layer to expose a surface of the first semiconductor layer.

3. The light-emitting element of claim 1 , further comprising an insulating structure disposed on the first conductive layer.

4. The light-emitting element of claim 3 , wherein the cushion part is interposed between the first conductive layer and the insulating structure.

5. The light-emitting element of claim 3 , wherein the insulating structure comprises a first insulating layer disposed on the first conductive layer and a second insulating layer disposed on the first insulating layer.

6. The light-emitting element of claim 5 , further comprising one or a plurality of first depressions formed in the semiconductor light-emitting stack and penetrating the second semiconductor layer and the active layer to expose a surface of the first semiconductor layer.

7. The light-emitting element of claim 6 , wherein the first insulating layer covers a side wall of the one or the plurality of first depressions, and the second conductive layer fills in the one or the plurality of first depressions.

8. The light-emitting element of claim 7 , further comprising a first pad and a second pad disposed on the active layer, wherein the first pad electrically connects to the first semiconductor layer via the second conductive layer in the one or the plurality of first depressions.

9. The light-emitting element of claim 1 , further comprising a first pad and a second pad disposed on the semiconductor light-emitting stack and respectively electrically connecting to the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer, wherein in a top view, the cushion part is disposed between the first pad and the second pad.

10. The light-emitting element of claim 1 , wherein a material of the cushion part comprises metal or an insulating material, or a material of the cushion part is the same as a material of the second conductive layer or the first conductive layer.

11. The light-emitting element of claim 1 , wherein a shape of the cushion part comprises a symmetrical shape in a top view.

12. The light-emitting element of claim 1 , wherein in a top view, the cushion part is disposed in a center region of the light-emitting element.

13. A light-emitting element comprises:

a semiconductor light-emitting stack comprising a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer formed on the first semiconductor layer, and an active layer formed therebetween;

a first conductive layer disposed on the second semiconductor layer and electrically connecting the second semiconductor layer;

a second conductive layer disposed on the second semiconductor layer, electrically connecting the first semiconductor layer and comprising two extension parts;

an insulating structure disposed on the first conductive layer and/or the second conductive layer; and

a cushion part disposed on the active layer and electrically connecting to the first conductive layer, wherein the cushion part is clamped by the two extension parts of the second conductive layer.

14. The light-emitting element of claim 13 , wherein a material of the cushion part is the same as a material of the second conductive layer or a material of the first conductive layer.

15. The light-emitting element of claim 13 , further comprising a first pad and a second pad respectively electrically connecting to the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer, wherein in a top view, the cushion part is disposed between the first pad and the second pad.

16. The light-emitting element of claim 13 , wherein in a top view, the cushion part is disposed in a center region of the light-emitting element.

17. The light-emitting element of claim 13 , wherein a shape of the cushion part comprises a symmetrical shape in a top view.

18. The light-emitting element of claim 13 , wherein the cushion part is devoid of overlapping with the second conductive layer in a cross-sectional view.

19. The light-emitting element of claim 13 , wherein the cushion part is in direct contact with the first conductive layer.
