Abstract

A first base station receives configuration parameters employed by a second base station for at least one broadcast multicast service. The configuration parameters comprise a first discontinuous reception inactivity timer value; and a first scheduling period start offset. The first base station determines, based on the configuration parameters, a second discontinuous reception inactivity timer value and a second scheduling period start offset. The first base station transmits, to at least one wireless device, first transport blocks for the at least one broadcast multicast service based on the second discontinuous reception inactivity timer value and the second scheduling period start offset.

Claims (56)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a first base station, configuration parameters employed by a second base station for at least one broadcast multicast service, the configuration parameters comprising:

a first discontinuous reception inactivity timer value; and

a first scheduling period start offset;

determining, by the first base station and based on the configuration parameters, a second discontinuous reception inactivity timer value and a second scheduling period start offset; and

transmitting, by the first base station to at least one wireless device, first transport blocks for the at least one broadcast multicast service based on the second discontinuous reception inactivity timer value and the second scheduling period start offset.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration parameters further comprise at least one of:

a broadcast multicast service session identifier;

a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) parameter;

single cell multicast traffic channel (SC-MTCH) scheduling parameters comprising an on-duration timer single cell point to multipoint (SCPTM); or

a cell identifier of an SC-MTCH neighbor cell providing the at least one broadcast multicast service via an SC-MTCH.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration parameters further comprise at least one of:

a radio frame allocation period;

a radio frame allocation offset; or

one or more subframe allocation parameters.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving further comprises receiving, by the first base station, at least one of:

a broadcast multicast service frequency;

a broadcast multicast session identifier; or

a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) of the broadcast multicast service.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving further comprises receiving, by the first base station, at least one of:

a destination layer-2 identifier for the broadcast multicast service;

a broadcast multicast service priority; or

a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service priority.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, by the first base station to the second base station in response to receiving the configuration parameters, a configuration update acknowledge message indicating an acknowledgement of a broadcast multicast service configuration update based on the configuration parameters.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, by the first base station, one message of an updated SIB20 or an updated single cell point to multipoint (SCPTM) Configuration message, the one message comprising one or more parameters for the at least one multicast broadcast service.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second base station transmits to the at least one wireless device, second transport blocks for the at least one multicast broadcast service based on the configuration parameters.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, by the first base station to the second base station, a handover request message for the at least one wireless device based at least on the configuration parameters.

10. A base station comprising:

one or more processors;

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:

receive configuration parameters employed by a second base station for at least one broadcast multicast service, the configuration parameters comprising:

a first discontinuous reception inactivity timer value; and

a first scheduling period start offset;

determine, based on the configuration parameters, a second discontinuous reception inactivity timer value and a second scheduling period start offset; and

transmit, to at least one wireless device, first transport blocks for the at least one broadcast multicast service based on the second discontinuous reception inactivity timer value and the second scheduling period start offset.

11. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the configuration parameters further comprise at least one of:

a broadcast multicast service session identifier;

a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) parameter;

single cell multicast traffic channel (SC-MTCH) scheduling parameters comprising an on-duration timer single cell point to multipoint (SCPTM); or

a cell identifier of an SC-MTCH neighbor cell providing the at least one broadcast multicast service via an SC-MTCH.

12. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the configuration parameters further comprise at least one of:

a radio frame allocation period;

a radio frame allocation offset; or

one or more subframe allocation parameters.

13. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the base station to receive at least one of:

a broadcast multicast service frequency;

a broadcast multicast session identifier; or

a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) of the broadcast multicast service.

14. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the base station to receive at least one of:

a destination layer-2 identifier for the broadcast multicast service;

a broadcast multicast service priority; or

a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service priority.

15. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the base station to transmit, to the second base station in response to receiving the configuration parameters, a configuration update acknowledge message indicating an acknowledgement of a broadcast multicast service configuration update based on the configuration parameters.

16. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the base station to transmit one message of an updated SIB20 or an updated single cell point to multipoint (SCPTM) Configuration message, the one message comprising one or more parameters for the at least one multicast broadcast service.

17. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the second base station transmits to the at least one wireless device, second transport blocks for the at least one multicast broadcast service based on the configuration parameters.

18. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the base station to transmit, to the second base station, a handover request message for the at least one wireless device based at least on the configuration parameters.
