Abstract

An LED dimming load sudden change suppression circuit is applied to an LED dimming circuit. The LED dimming load sudden change suppression circuit includes a MOS transistor Q 1 , a sampling resistor R 1 , an error amplifier U 1 , and a DC-DC module U 2 , which can ensure that the total current of the LED dimming circuit is constant and avoid damage to LEDs.

Claims (17)

1. An LED dimming load sudden change suppression circuit, applied to an LED dimming circuit, the LED dimming circuit including a plurality of LED strings connected in series, each of the LED strings including a plurality of LEDs (D 1 ) connected in series, each of the LED strings being connected in parallel with a switching circuit (SW); the LED dimming circuit being connected in parallel with a capacitor (C 1 ); the LED dimming load sudden change suppression circuit comprising:

a MOS transistor (Q 1 ), configured to adjust a total current of the LED dimming circuit according to a voltage signal input to a gate thereof;

a sampling resistor (R 1 ), configured to detect the total current of the LED dimming circuit;

an error amplifier (U 1 ), configured to compare a voltage across the sampling resistor (R 1 ) with a first reference voltage (VREF 1 ) to generate a first error signal output to the gate of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ),

a DC-DC module (U 2 ), configured to control a total input voltage input to the LED dimming circuit and the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) according to a voltage between a drain and a source of the MOS transistor (Q 1 );

a voltage amplifier (U 3 ) and another voltage amplifier (U 4 ); the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being a PMOS transistor;

a voltage output terminal (Vout) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ) being connected to one end of the capacitor (C 1 ), one end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ) being connected to a non-inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ), another end of the capacitor (C 1 ) being grounded, another end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ) being connected to an inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ), a non-inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ) and the source of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ), an output terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ) being connected to a non-inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ), an inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) is input with the first reference voltage (VREF 1 ), an output terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being connected to the gate of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ); the drain of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being connected to an input terminal of the LED dimming circuit and an inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ); an output terminal of the LED dimming circuit being grounded; an output terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ) being connected to a voltage feedback terminal (FB) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ), the voltage feedback terminal (FB) being connected to an inverting input terminal of an error amplifying circuit used for controlling an output voltage of the DC-DC module (U 2 ) in the DC-DC module (U 2 ).

2. The LED dimming load sudden change suppression circuit as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a voltage amplifier (U 3 ) and another voltage amplifier (U 4 ); the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being a PMOS transistor;

a voltage output terminal (Vout) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ) being connected to one end of the capacitor (C 1 ), the source of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) and a non-inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ), another end of the capacitor (C 1 ) being grounded, the drain of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being connected to a non-inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ), an inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ) and one end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ), another end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ) being connected to an inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ) and an input terminal of the LED dimming circuit, an output terminal of the LED dimming circuit being grounded; an output terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ) being connected to a non-inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ), an inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being input with the first reference voltage (VREF 1 ), an output terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being connected to the gate of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ); an output terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ) being connected to a voltage feedback terminal (FB) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ), the voltage feedback terminal (FB) being connected to an inverting input terminal of an error amplifying circuit used for controlling an output voltage of the DC-DC module (U 2 ) in the DC-DC module (U 2 ).

3. The LED dimming load sudden change suppression circuit as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a voltage amplifier (U 4 ); the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being a PMOS transistor;

a voltage output terminal (Vout) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ) being connected to one end of the capacitor (C 1 ), the source of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) and a non-inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ), another end of the capacitor (C 1 ) being grounded, the drain of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being connected to an inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ) and an input terminal of the LED dimming circuit, an output terminal of the LED dimming circuit being connected to one end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ) and a non-inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ), another end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ) being grounded; an inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being input with the first reference voltage (VREF 1 ), an output terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being connected to the gate of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ); an output terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ) being connected to a voltage feedback terminal (FB) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ), the voltage feedback terminal (FB) being connected to an inverting input terminal of an error amplifying circuit used for controlling an output voltage of the DC-DC module (U 2 ) in the DC-DC module (U 2 ).

4. The LED dimming load sudden change suppression circuit as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a voltage amplifier (U 3 ), the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being a NMOS transistor;

a voltage output terminal (Vout) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ) being connected to one end of the capacitor (C 1 ) and an input terminal of the LED dimming circuit, another end of the capacitor (C 1 ) being grounded;

an output terminal of the LED dimming circuit being connected to one end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ) and a non-inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ), another end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ) being connected to the drain of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ), an inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ) and a voltage feedback terminal (FB) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ), an output terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 3 ) being connected to an inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ), a non-inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being input with the first reference voltage (VREF 1 ), an output terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being connected to the gate of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ), the source of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being grounded.

5. The LED dimming load sudden change suppression circuit as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a voltage amplifier (U 4 ), the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being an NMOS transistor;

a voltage output terminal (Vout) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ) being connected to one end of the capacitor (C 1 ) and an input terminal of the LED dimming circuit, another end of the capacitor (C 1 ) being grounded;

an output terminal of the LED dimming circuit being connected to the drain of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) and a non-inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ), the source of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ) being connected to an inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ), an inverting input terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ) and one end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ), another end of the sampling resistor (R 1 ) being grounded; a non-inverting input terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being input with the first reference voltage (VREF 1 ), an output terminal of the error amplifier (U 1 ) being connected to the gate of the MOS transistor (Q 1 ); an output terminal of the voltage amplifier (U 4 ) being connected to a voltage feedback terminal (FB) of the DC-DC module (U 2 ).
