Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for controlling delivery of a resource. An intermediary device may establish a connection to deliver a resource hosted on at least one server to a client using a remoting protocol. The remoting protocol may define one or more channels in the connection for delivering or enabling one or more features of the resource to the client. The device may identify the one or more channels, and may identify the one or more features of the resource. The device may determine a policy for controlling access of the client to at least a first feature of the resource. The device may control access of the client to the first feature by modifying a first channel of the one or more channels according to the determined policy.

Claims (29)

1. A method comprising:

(a) receiving, by a device intermediary between a client and a server, a request to establish a connection with the server using a remote protocol comprising a plurality of channels, each of the plurality of channels corresponding to one or more features of one or more resources of a plurality of resources to be provided by the server to the client via the remote protocol;

(b) identifying, by the device, a policy controlling access by the client to a first feature of the one or more features of a first resource of the one or more resources of the plurality of resources;

(c) identifying, by the device, a first channel of the plurality of channels corresponding to the first feature of the first resource specified by the policy; and

(d) modifying, by the device, the first channel of the plurality of channels to control access by the client to the first feature of the first resource provided via the first channel.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein access to the first feature of the first resource is disabled for the client responsive to the modification.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein (b) further comprises establishing, by the device, the policy for the client responsive to establishing the connection with the server.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein (b) further comprises identifying, by the device, the policy based at least on a geographic location of the client.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein (b) further comprises identifying, by the device, the policy based at least on an end point analysis of the client.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein (c) further comprises identifying, by the device, an identifier of the first channel.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein (d) further comprises modifying the identifier of the first channel to a second identifier distinct from any identifier of any of the plurality of channels.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein (d) further comprises modifying one or more packets of the remote protocol carrying the first channel and communicated over the connection.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising maintaining, by the device responsive to the policy, a second identifier of a second channel of the plurality of channels corresponding to a second feature of the one or more features of the one or more resources of the plurality of resources.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more resources comprises an application or a desktop hosted via the server.

11. A system comprising:

a device comprising one or more processors, coupled to memory and intermediary between a client and a server, the device configured to receive a request to establish a connection with the server using a remote protocol comprising a plurality of channels, each of the plurality of channels corresponding to one or more features of one or more resources of a plurality of resources to be provided by the server to the client via the remote protocol;

wherein the device is configured to:

identify a policy controlling access by the client to a first feature of the one or more features of a first resource of the one or more resources of the plurality of resources;

identify a first channel of the plurality of channels corresponding to the first feature of the first resource specified by the policy; and

modify the first channel of the plurality of channels to control access by the client to the first feature of the first resource provided via the first channel.

12. The system of claim 11 , wherein access to the first feature of the first resource is disabled for the client responsive to the modification.

13. The system of claim 11 , wherein the device is further configured to establish the policy for the client responsive to establishing the connection with the server.

14. The system of claim 11 , wherein the device is further configured to identify the policy based at least on a geographic location of the client.

15. The system of claim 11 , wherein the device is further configured to identify the policy based at least on an end point analysis of the client.

16. The system of claim 11 , wherein the device is further configured to identify an identifier of the first channel.

17. The system of claim 16 , wherein the device is further configured to modify the identifier of the first channel to a second identifier distinct from any identifier of any of the plurality of channels.

18. The system of claim 11 , wherein the device is further configured to modify one or more packets of the remote protocol carrying the first channel and communicated over the connection.

19. The system of claim 11 , wherein the device is further configured to maintain, responsive to the policy, a second identifier of a second channel of the plurality of channels corresponding to a second feature of the one or more features of the one or more resources of the plurality of resources.

20. The system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more resources comprises an application or a desktop hosted via the server.
