Substituted carbonucleoside derivatives useful as anticancer agents
Compounds of the general formula): processes for the preparation of these compounds, compositions containing these compounds, and the uses of these compounds.
1. A method of treating cancer in a mammal, the method comprising administering to the mammal in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of the compound (1S,2S,3S,5R)-3((6-(difluoromethyl)-5-fluoro-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolin-8-yl)oxy)-5-(4-methyl-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-7-yl)cyclopentane-1,2-diol, having the structure:
or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof wherein said cancer is selected from bladder cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, esophageal cancer, leukaemia, lung cancer, lymphoma, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer, cancer of the vulva, and head and neck cancer.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is lymphoma.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is esophageal cancer.
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is stomach cancer.
5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is lung cancer.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is breast cancer.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is ovarian cancer.
8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is bladder cancer.
9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is cervical cancer.
10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is pancreatic cancer.
11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is leukemia.
12. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is endometrial cancer.
13. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is cancer of the vulva.
14. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cancer is head and neck cancer.
