Abstract

A light-emitting device includes a light-emitting element having a first electrode and a second electrode, a carrier, a first contact and a second contact. The first contact is arranged on the carrier and is electrically connected to the first electrode. The second contact is arranged on the carrier and is electrically connected to the second electrode. The first contact has a contour similar with that of the first electrode. The second contact has a contour similar with that of the second electrode.

Claims (29)

1. A light-emitting device, comprising:

a light-emitting element, comprising a first electrode and a second electrode which are substantially symmetric to each other in a top view;

a carrier;

a first contact arranged on the carrier to face the first electrode, and electrically connected to the first electrode;

a first conductive layer connecting the first contact and the first electrode;

a second contact arranged on the carrier to face the second electrode, and electrically connected to the second electrode; and

a second conductive layer connecting the first contact and the first electrode,

wherein the first conductive layer and the first electrode are not aligned with each other in their outermost boundaries,

wherein the second conductive layer and the second electrode are not aligned with each other in their outermost boundaries,

wherein, in the top view, the first contact has a first contour similar with that of the first electrode, and the second contact has a second contour similar with that of the second electrode.

2. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first conductive layer has a widest width larger than the first electrode and smaller than the first contact.

3. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first contour is similar with the second contour in the top view.

4. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , further comprising a first insulation portion arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode.

5. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the second contour is circular.

6. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first electrode and the second electrode form a concentric circle.

7. The light-emitting device according to claim 4 , further comprising a second insulation portion surrounding the second contact.

8. The light-emitting device according to claim 7 , wherein the second insulation portion and the second contact form a concentric circle.

9. The light-emitting device according to claim 7 , wherein the second contour has a dimension not larger than that of the second insulation portion.

10. The light-emitting device according to claim 4 , wherein the first insulation portion and the second electrode form a concentric circle.

11. The light-emitting device according to claim 4 , further comprising a conductive layer physically connected to the first electrode, the second electrode, the first contact, and the second contact.

12. The light-emitting device according to claim 11 , wherein the conductive layer has a first portion connected to the first electrode and the first contact, a second portion connected to the second electrode and the second contact, and an insulated third portion arranged between the first portion and the second portion.

13. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are not rectangles.

14. The light-emitting device according to claim 2 , wherein the first conductive layer, the second conductive layer, or both comprise Anisotropic Conductive film (ACF), Self Assembly Anisotropic Conductive Paste (SAP), or epoxy solder paste.

15. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein, in the top view, the first electrode has a first upper portion, a first lower portion, and a first middle portion between the first and upper portion and the first lower portion, the second electrode has a second upper portion, a second lower portion, and a second middle portion, wherein the first middle portion has a first width smaller than that of the first upper portion and the first lower portion, the second middle portion has a second width smaller than that of the second upper portion and the second lower portion.

16. The light-emitting device according to claim 15 , wherein the first upper portion is separated from the second upper portion by a first distance, the first middle portion is separated from the second middle portion by a second distance which is larger than the first distance.

17. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first contact has a first branch portion and a first body portion, the second contact has a second branch portion and a second body portion, the first branch portion has a width smaller than that of the first body portion.

18. The light-emitting device according to claim 17 , wherein the first branch portion is separated from the second branch portion by a first distance, the first body portion is separated from the second body portion by a second distance which is larger than the first distance.

19. The light-emitting device according to claim 17 , wherein the first branch is contacted to and extended from the first body.

20. The light-emitting device according to claim 17 , wherein the first branch is extended from the first body and towards to the second contact.
