Container for a consumable good, coated with a resveratrol containing layer
The present invention relates to a container for a consumable good, wherein the container has an inner coating layer including resveratrol, and process for preparing the container.
1. A container for consumer good wherein an inner surface of the container is at least partially coated with a coating layer comprising resveratrol and wherein the consumer good is selected from solid, liquid or gaseous components.
2. The container of claim 1 wherein the thickness of the coating layer is from about 0.1 μm to 10 mm.
3. The container of claim 1 wherein the thickness of the coating layer is from about 1 μm to 10 mm.
4. The container of claim 1 wherein the consumer good is a beverage selected from the group consisting of wine, a wine-based product, soft drinks, fruit juices, milk or whey-based products, lemonade, acidic beverages and carbonated beverages.
5. The container of claim 1 wherein the consumer good comprises wine or a wine-based product.
6. The container of claim 1 wherein the resveratrol is selected from the group of cis-resveratrol and trans-resveratrol.
7. The container of claim 1 wherein the coating layer comprises a lacquer or lacquer-based coating.
8. The container of claim 1 wherein the coating layer does not contain Bisphenol A or a Bisphenol A-based substance.
9. The container of claim 1 wherein a portion of the resveratrol present in the coating layer is not covalently bonded to other components of the coating layer.
10. The container of claim 1 wherein the coating layer further comprises free metal radicals.
11. The container of claim 1 wherein the coating layer further comprises a water-based monomeric enhancer.
12. The container of claim 1 wherein the coating layer further comprises a polyester acrylate.
13. The container of claim 1 wherein the concentration of the resveratrol differs through a cross-section of the coating layer.
14. The container of claim 13 wherein there is a higher concentration of resveratrol in the coating layer at or close to the consumer good than at an inner surface of the container.
15. The container of claim 13 wherein there is a higher concentration of resveratrol in the coating layer is closer to an inner surface of the container than at or close to the consumer good.
16. A process for preparing a container for a consumable good comprising
a) providing a container comprising a container wall comprising an inner side facing an inner space of the container, and
b) providing a coating layer on the inner side of the container wall, wherein the coating layer comprises resveratrol, wherein the consumer good is a beverage selected from the group consisting of wine, a wine-based product, soft drinks, fruit juices, milk or whey-based products, lemonade, acidic beverages and carbonated beverages.
