Abstract

Systems and methods include a server configured to provide a web site application to a remote computing device over the Internet. The remote computing device is configured to receive user input to control a cursor. The web site application is configured to enable the remote computing device to display a plurality of color sheen chips on a display of the remote computing device, each color sheen chip representing a paint sheen. The web site application is configured to pivot a particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips about a central axis of the particular color sheen chip on a display of the remote computing device when a cursor of the remote computing device is moved over the particular color sheen chip to enhance displayed characteristics of the paint sheen associated with the particular color sheen chip.

Claims (21)

1. A system comprising:

a server configured to provide a web site application to a remote computing device over the Internet, the remote computing device being configured to receive user input to control a cursor and the web site application being configured to enable the remote computing device to display a plurality of color sheen chips on a display of the remote computing device, each color sheen chip representing a paint sheen;

wherein the web site application is configured to pivot a particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips about a central axis of the particular color sheen chip on a display of the remote computing device when a cursor of the remote computing device is moved over the particular color sheen chip to enhance displayed characteristics of the paint sheen associated with the particular color sheen chip.

2. The system of claim 1 , the web site application being further configured to enlarge the particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips on the display when the cursor hovers over the particular color sheen chip.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips each represent an interior paint sheen.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips each represent an exterior paint sheen.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips include at least one of a flat sheen, a flat enamel sheen, an eggshell sheen, a satin sheen, a sateen lustre sheen, a semi-gloss sheen, and a hi-gloss sheen.

6. A method comprising:

providing, with a server, a web site application to a remote computing device over the Internet, the remote computing device being configured to receive user input to control a cursor and the web site application being configured to enable the remote computing device to display a plurality of color sheen chips on a display of the remote computing device, each color sheen chip representing a paint sheen;

wherein the web site application is configured to pivot a particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips about a central axis of the particular color sheen chip on a display of the remote computing device when a cursor of the remote computing device is moved over the particular color sheen chip to enhance displayed characteristics of the paint sheen associated with the particular color sheen chip.

7. The method of claim 6 , the web site application being further configured to enlarge the particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips on the display when the cursor hovers over the particular color sheen chip.

8. The method of claim 6 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips each represent an interior paint sheen.

9. The method of claim 6 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips each represent an exterior paint sheen.

10. The method of claim 6 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips include at least one of a flat sheen, a flat enamel sheen, an eggshell sheen, a satin sheen, a sateen lustre sheen, a semi-gloss sheen, and a hi-gloss sheen.

11. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions executable by a processor of a computing device configured to receive user input to control a cursor, the instructions including instructions for:

displaying a plurality of color sheen chips on a display of the computing device, each color sheen chip representing a paint sheen; and

pivoting a particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips about a central axis of the particular color sheen chip on a display of the computing device when a cursor of the computing device is moved over the particular color sheen chip to enhance displayed characteristics of the paint sheen associated with the particular color sheen chip.

12. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , the instructions further including instructions for enlarging the particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips on the display when the cursor hovers over the particular color sheen chip.

13. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips each represent an interior paint sheen.

14. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips each represent an exterior paint sheen.

15. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of color sheen chips include at least one of a flat sheen, a flat enamel sheen, an eggshell sheen, a satin sheen, a sateen lustre sheen, a semi-gloss sheen, and a hi-gloss sheen.
