4. The wireless network of claim 1 , in which

two or more connected user devices are configured by the network controller to transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) set on SRS time occasions, each transmitted SRS in the set uses as a spatial filter reference a different Synchronization Signal Blocks (SSB) from the first and second radio nodes, and the SRS transmissions of a first user device of the two of more connected devices carry an identifier of the connected user device of the two of more connected devices, and

the first and second radio nodes perform measurements on SRS time occasions to detect the identifier of the connected user device and to determine a received signal level.

5. The wireless network of claim 1 comprising a mesh node linked to the network controller through a radio node having a third coverage area.

when the connected user device moves from the coverage area of the first radio node to the coverage area of the mesh node, the wireless network performs a handover of the connected user device from the first radio node to the mesh node without reconfiguring the user device by transferring a current state of the device from the first radio node to the mesh node.

7. The wireless network of claim 6 comprising

two or more connected user devices configured by the network controller to transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) set on SRS time occasions, and each transmitted SRS in the SRS set uses as the spatial filter reference a different SSB transmission from the first and second radio nodes and the SRS transmissions of a first user device of the two of more connected devices carry an identifier of the connected user device of the two of more connected devices, and
