Abstract

In one aspect, a device includes a processor, a battery accessible to the processor and that powers the processor, and storage accessible to the processor. The storage bears instructions executable by the processor to predict a discharge amount of the battery that is to occur within a predefined time and, based on the prediction, determine a frequency at which the battery is to be charged.

Claims (39)

1. A device, comprising:

at least one processor;

at least one light-emitting diode (LED) accessible to the at least one processor;

a battery accessible to the at least one processor and that powers the at least one processor; and

storage accessible to the at least one processor and bearing instructions executable by the at least one processor to:

determine that a user is falling asleep; and

based on the determination that the user is falling asleep, provide at least one notification to charge the battery, wherein the at least one notification comprises a first notification provided via illumination of the at least one LED, wherein the at least one LED is illuminated in red for the first notification.

2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are executable by the at least one processor to:

receive input from at least one sleep sensor accessible to the at least one processor; and

based on the input from the at least one sleep sensor, determine that the user is falling asleep.

3. The device of claim 2 , comprising the at least one sleep sensor.

4. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one notification indicates that the user should charge the battery tonight.

5. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one notification comprises a haptic notification.

6. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one notification comprises an audible notification.

7. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one LED is different from a touch-enabled display of the device on which images are presentable, the at least one LED being disposed on a bezel of the device.

8. The device of claim 7 , wherein the at least one LED comprises a first LED that outputs light in red, yellow, and green hues.

9. The device of claim 1 , comprising a display accessible to the at least one processor, wherein the instructions are executable to:

present, on the display, a graphical user interface (GUI) indicating one or more settings of the device that can be enabled by a user, the GUI comprising at least a first setting that is selectable by the user to enable the device to provide notifications to charge the battery based on determining that the user is falling asleep.

10. A method, comprising:

presenting, on an electronic display, a graphical user interface (GUI) indicating one or more settings of an electronic device that can be set by a user, the GUI comprising at least a first setting that is selectable by the user to set the electronic device to in the future provide notifications to charge a battery based on determining that the user is falling asleep;

determining, using the electronic device, that the user is falling asleep in a first instance; and

providing, via the electronic device and based on the determining that the user is falling asleep in the first instance, at least a first notification to charge the battery, the providing being performed based on first setting being selected.

11. The method of claim 10 , comprising:

receiving input from at least one sleep sensor; and

determining, based on the input from the at least one sleep sensor, that the user is falling asleep.

12. The method of claim 10 , wherein the first notification indicates that the user should charge the battery tonight.

13. The method of claim 10 , wherein the first notification comprises a haptic notification.

14. The method of claim 10 , wherein the first notification comprises an audible notification.

15. The method of claim 10 , wherein the first notification is provided via illumination of at least one light-emitting diode (LED), wherein the at least one LED is illuminated in red for the first notification.

16. A computer readable storage medium (CRSM) that is not a transitory signal, the computer readable storage medium comprising instructions executable by at least one processor to:

present, on a display accessible to the at least one processor, a graphical user interface (GUI) indicating one or more settings that can be enabled by a user, the GUI comprising at least a first setting that is selectable by the user to enable the at least one processor to in the future provide notifications to charge a battery based on future determinations that the user is falling asleep;

determine, in a first instance, that the user is falling asleep; and

based on the determination in the first instance that the user is falling asleep and based on the first setting being selected, provide at least a first notification to charge the battery.

17. The CRSM of claim 16 , wherein the instructions are executable by the at least one processor to:

receive input from at least one sleep sensor accessible to the at least one processor; and

based on the input from the at least one sleep sensor, determine that the user falling asleep.

18. The CRSM of claim 16 , wherein the first notification comprises a haptic notification.

19. The CRSM of claim 16 , wherein the first notification comprises an audible notification.

20. The CRSM of claim 16 , wherein the first notification is provided via illumination of at least one light-emitting diode (LED), wherein the at least one LED is illuminated in a predetermined color as part of the first notification.
