Abstract

A computing system that includes at least one processor and at least one memory communicatively coupled to the at least one processor is disclosed. The computing system also includes at least one network interface communicatively coupled to the at least one processor and configured to communicate with a customer device and a trusted third party. The at least one processor is configured to derive, using a hashing function, a multi-approval transaction address in a customer wallet from a first public key derived from a first parent public key, a second public key derived from a second parent public key, and a third public key derived from a third parent public key. The at least one network interface is also configured to transmit the multi-approval transaction address to the customer device.

Claims (56)

1. A computing system comprising:

a customer device that derives a plurality of first public transaction keys from a first public account key and transmits a first public transaction key of the plurality of first public transaction keys to a computing device;

a trusted third party device that transmits a master public key to the computing device; and

the computing device, comprising:

at least one processor;

at least one memory communicatively coupled to the at least one processor and storing instructions; and

network interface circuitry communicatively coupled to the at least one processor and that receives the master public key from the trusted third party device and the first public transaction key of the plurality of first public transaction keys from the customer device;

wherein the at least one processor executes the instructions causing the at least one processor to:

derive a second public transaction key from a second public account key;

derive a third public account key and at least one other public account key from the master public key;

derive a third public transaction key from the third public account key; and

derive, using a hashing function, a multi-approval transaction address for a distributed ledger in a customer wallet from the first public transaction key, the second public transaction key, and the third public transaction key; and

wherein the network interface circuitry transmits the multi-approval transaction address to the customer device.

The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor executes the instructions causing the at least one processor to derive the multi-approval transaction address using non-extended keys as the first public transaction key, the second public transaction key, and the third public transaction key.

3. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the customer device transacts from the multi-approval transaction address only by using private transaction keys corresponding to at least two of the first public transaction key, the second public transaction key, and the third public transaction key.

4. The computing system of claim 3 , wherein the network interface circuitry communicates a private transaction key associated with the second public transaction key to the customer device.

5. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor executes further instructions causing the at least one processor to verify identity data from the customer device at least in part by:

comparing the identity data with stored identity data for a customer.

6. The computing system of claim 5 , wherein the identity data comprises biometric data.

7. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the network interface circuitry receives the master public key from at least one of a credit union or a bank acting as the trusted third party device.

8. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the customer wallet stores at least one of a security, a currency, a commodity, a bond, a fund, or a combination thereof.

9. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor executes further instructions causing the at least one processor to:

determine the first public transaction key that was derived from the first public account key;

determine the second public transaction key that was derived from the second parent public account key; and

determine the third public transaction key that was derived from the third public account key.

10. A computerized method performed by at least a computing device, comprising:

receiving a master public key at the computing device;

receiving a first public transaction key of a plurality of first public transaction keys at the computing device;

deriving a second public transaction key from a second public account key;

deriving a third public account key and at least one other public account key from the master public key;

deriving a third public transaction key from the third public account key;

deriving, using a hashing function, a multi-approval transaction address for a distributed ledger in a customer wallet from the first public transaction key, the second public transaction key, and the third public transaction key; and

transmitting the multi-approval transaction address to a customer device.

11. The computerized method of claim 10 , further comprising:

deriving the multi-approval transaction address using non-extended keys as the first public transaction key, the second public transaction key, and the third public transaction key.

12. The computerized method of claim 10 , further comprising:

transacting from the multi-approval transaction address only by using private transaction keys corresponding to at least two of the first public transaction key, the second public transaction key, and the third public transaction key.

13. The computerized method of claim 12 , further comprising:

communicating a private key associated with the second public transaction key to the customer device.

14. The computerized method of claim 10 , further comprising verifying, at the computing device, identity data from the customer device at least in part by:

comparing the identity data with stored identity data for a customer.

15. The computerized method of claim 14 , wherein the identity data comprises biometric data.

16. The computerized method of claim 10 , further comprising receiving the master public key from at least one of a credit union or a bank.

17. The computerized method of claim 10 , wherein the customer wallet stores at least one of a security, a currency, a commodity, a bond, a fund, or a combination thereof.

18. The computerized method of claim 10 , further comprising:

determining the first public transaction key that was derived from a first public account key;

determining the second public transaction key that was derived from the second public account key; and

determining the third public transaction key that was derived from the third public account key.

19. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the customer device further:

produce a signed transaction by signing a transaction that transacts from the multi-approval transaction address to multiple output addresses, wherein the customer device signs the transaction using a respective private transaction key associated with the first public transaction key, the second public transaction key, and the third public transaction key; and

sends the signed transaction across a network for recording on the distributed ledger.

20. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the third public account key corresponds to a first customer and the at least one other public account key corresponds to at least one other customer.

21. The computerized method of claim 10 , further comprising:

producing a signed transaction by signing a transaction that transacts from the multi-approval transaction address to multiple output addresses, wherein the customer device signs the transaction using a respective private transaction key associated with the first public transaction key, the second public transaction key, and the third public transaction key; and

sends the signed transaction across a network for recording on the distributed ledger.

22. The computerized method of claim 10 , wherein the third public account key corresponds to a first customer and the at least one other public account key corresponds to at least one other customer.
