Abstract

A wireless device receives configuration parameters indicating a mapping restriction, of a plurality of mapping restrictions, of a logical channel to one or more radio resource types of a plurality of radio resource types. A buffer status report is triggered based on uplink data becoming available. An uplink grant indicating radio resources of a radio resource type of the plurality of radio resource types is received. A scheduling request is triggered in response to: the triggering the buffer status report; and the radio resource type not being of at least one first radio resource type, of the plurality of radio resource types, determined based on the plurality of mapping restrictions. The wireless device transmits the scheduling request.

Claims (56)

1. A method by a wireless device, comprising:

receiving, from a base station, one or more messages including configuration parameters for a logical channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicates a mapping restriction of the logical channel to a first radio resource type among a plurality of radio resource types, and the first radio resource type being related to one or more first cells;

triggering a buffer status report based on uplink data becoming available for the logical channel;

receiving, from the base station, an uplink grant indicating radio resources of a second radio resource type among the plurality of radio resource types, the second radio resource type being related to one or more second cells different from the one or more first cells;

triggering a scheduling request in response to:

the triggering of the buffer status report; and

the second radio resource type being different from the first radio resource type indicated by the mapping restriction; and

transmitting, to the base station, the scheduling request.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein a logical channel scheduling request timer is not running when the scheduling request is triggered.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the mapping restriction indicates that:

first data of the logical channel is to be transmitted on the first radio resource type; and

the first data of the logical channel is not allowed to be transmitted on the second radio resource type.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the logical channel is identified by a logical channel identifier.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink data becomes available in the logical channel with a highest logical channel priority in a logical channel group.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first radio resource type is an unlicensed radio resource type and the second radio resource type is an unlicensed radio resource type.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein a second mapping restriction is configured for the buffer status report.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the buffer status report is a regular buffer status report, and the buffer status report is identified by a logical channel identifier.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink grant indicates radio resources for new transmission, and the configuration parameters indicate scheduling request resources.

10. A method by a base station, comprising:

transmitting, to a wireless device, one or more messages including configuration parameters for a logical channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicates a mapping restriction of the logical channel to a first radio resource type among a plurality of radio resource types, and the first radio resource type being related to one or more first cells;

transmitting, to the wireless device, an uplink grant indicating radio resources of a second radio resource type among the plurality of radio resource types, the second radio resource type being related to one or more second cells different from the one or more first cells; and

receiving, from the wireless device, a scheduling request,

wherein the scheduling request is triggered in response to:

triggering of a buffer status report; and

the second radio resource type being different from the first radio resource type indicated by the mapping restriction, and

wherein the triggering of the buffer status report is performed based on uplink data becoming available for the logical channel.

11. The method of claim 10 , wherein a logical channel scheduling request timer is not running when the scheduling request is triggered.

12. The method of claim 10 , wherein the mapping restriction indicates that:

first data of the logical channel is to be transmitted on the first radio resource type; and

the first data of the logical channel is not allowed to be transmitted on the second radio resource type.

13. The method of claim 10 , wherein the logical channel is identified by a logical channel identifier.

14. The method of claim 10 , wherein the uplink data becomes available in the logical channel with a highest logical channel priority in a logical channel group.

15. The method of claim 10 , wherein the first radio resource type is an unlicensed radio resource type and the second radio resource type is an unlicensed radio resource type.

16. The method of claim 10 , wherein a second mapping restriction is configured for the buffer status report.

17. The method of claim 10 , wherein the buffer status report is a regular buffer status report, and the buffer status report is identified by a logical channel identifier.

18. The method of claim 10 , wherein the uplink grant indicates radio resources for new transmission, and the configuration parameters indicate scheduling request resources.

19. A wireless device, comprising:

a transceiver; and

at least one processor configured to:

control the transceiver to receive, from a base station, one or more messages including configuration parameters for a logical channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicates a mapping restriction of the logical channel to a first radio resource type among a plurality of radio resource types, and the first radio resource type being related to one or more first cells,

trigger a buffer status report based on uplink data becoming available for the logical channel,

control the transceiver to receive, from the base station, an uplink grant indicating radio resources of a second radio resource type among the plurality of radio resource types, the second radio resource type being related to one or more second cells different from the one or more first cells,

trigger a scheduling request in response to:

the triggering of the buffer status report; and

the second radio resource type being different from the first radio resource type indicated by the mapping restriction, and

control the transceiver to transmit, to the base station, the scheduling request.

20. A base station, comprising:

a transceiver; and

at least one processor configured to control the transceiver to:

transmit, to a wireless device, one or more messages including configuration parameters for a logical channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicates a mapping restriction of the logical channel to a first radio resource type among a plurality of radio resource types, and the first radio resource type being related to one or more first cells,

transmit, to the wireless device, an uplink grant indicating radio resources of a second radio resource type among the plurality of radio resource types, the second radio resource type being related to one or more second cells different from the one or more first cells, and

receive, from the wireless device, a scheduling request,

wherein the scheduling request is triggered in response to:

triggering of a buffer status report; and

the second radio resource type being different from the first radio resource type indicated by the mapping restriction, and

wherein the triggering of the buffer status report is performed based on uplink data becoming available for the logical channel.
