Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving a reference signal in a wireless communication system. In the method, in order to dynamically switch an uplink (UL) Demodulation-Reference Signal (DM-RS) according to the communication environment, such as CoMP and MU-MIMO, a parameter set for generation of a reference signal sequence is configured to include a Virtual Cell Identifier (VCID) parameter configured by information of a total of 9 bits and a cyclic shift hopping initial value parameter init CSH , which is 9-bit information representing one integer value among 510 integer values. Therefore, it may be possible to achieve dynamic transmission or reception of a reference signal and channel estimation through the dynamic transmission or reception of the reference signal even when the communication environment dynamically changes as in a Cooperative Multiple Point transmission and reception (CoMP) scenario.

Claims (111)

1. A communication method comprising:

receiving, at a User Equipment (UE), a message through Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, wherein the message comprises a virtual cell identifier parameter and a cyclic shift hopping initial parameter;

generating, at the UE, a base sequence at least based on the virtual cell identifier parameter;

determining an initial value of a pseudo random sequence relating to a cyclic shift hopping based on the received cyclic shift hopping initial value parameter;

determining a cyclic shift value based on the determined initial value of the pseudo random sequence relating to the cyclic shift hopping;

generating, at the UE, a demodulation reference signal at least by cyclically shifting the base sequence at least based on the determined cyclic shift value; and

transmitting, at the UE, the demodulation reference signal,

wherein the cyclic shift hopping initial value is configured based on one of integer values in a range 0 to 509, and

wherein the virtual cell identifier is configured based on one of integer in a range of 0 to 509.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the demodulation reference signal is transmitted on a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH).

3. A communication apparatus comprising:

a memory; and

a processor operably coupled the memory,

wherein the processor, when executing program instructions stored in the memory, is configured to:

support the communication apparatus to receive a message through Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, wherein the message comprises a virtual cell identifier parameter and a cyclic shift hopping initial parameter;

generate a base sequence at least based on the virtual cell identifier parameter;

determine an initial value of a pseudo random sequence relating to a cyclic shift hopping based on the received cyclic shift hopping initial value parameter;

determine a cyclic shift value based on the determined initial value of the pseudo random sequence relating to the cyclic shift hopping;

generate a demodulation reference signal at least by cyclically shifting the base sequence at least based on the determined cyclic shift value; and

support the communication apparatus to transmit the demodulation reference signal,

wherein the virtual cell identifier is configured based on one of integer in a range of 0 to 509.

4. The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the demodulation reference signal is transmitted on a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH).

5. A communication device for a User Equipment (UE), comprising:

a memory; and

a processor operably coupled the memory,

wherein the processor, when executing program instructions stored in the memory, is configured to:

support the UE to receive a message through Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, wherein the message comprises a virtual cell identifier parameter and a cyclic shift hopping initial parameter;

generate a base sequence at least based on virtual cell identifier parameter;

determine an initial value of a pseudo random sequence relating to a cyclic shift hopping based on the received cyclic shift hopping initial value parameter;

determine a cyclic shift value based on the determined initial value of the pseudo random sequence relating to the cyclic shift hopping;

generate a demodulation reference signal at least by cyclically shifting the base sequence at least based on the determined cyclic shift value; and

support the UE to transmit the demodulation reference signal,

6. The device of claim 5 , wherein the demodulation reference signal is transmitted on a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH).
