Abstract

Briefly, methods and/or apparatuses of virtual deployment of network-related features are disclosed.

1. A method comprising:

deploying networking services, resources and/or applications for one or more private networks via the Internet without human intervention;

wherein the one or more private networks comprise two or more separate logical broadcast domains and a controller, the controller being outside the two or more separate logical broadcasts, in which the one or more private networks are able to communicate selected signal packets from one network device in one of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains transmitted to one network device in another of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains via at least one tunnel server outside the two or more separate logical broadcast domains, the at least one tunnel server being provisioned by the controller;

the method further comprising: communicating selected signal packets from one network device in one of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains transmitted to one network device in another of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains as if the logical broadcast domains are not separate, which comprises communicating the selected signal packets in a manner to by-pass network address translation.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the deploying network services, resources and/or applications comprises deploying network services, resources and/or applications via a virtual online presence accessible via the Internet.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the network services include packet path services.

4. The method of claim 2 , wherein the network services include network diagnostic and/or analysis services.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the network diagnostic and/or analysis services include a private network dashboard.

6. The method of claim 2 , wherein the network services include network configuration and/or reconfiguration services.

7. The method of claim 2 , wherein the virtual online presence comprises a private network hop for private network signal packet transmissions such that signal packet encapsulation of private network signal packet transmissions is terminated, and the signal packets are inspected, re-encapsulated, and further transmitted.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the private network hop is implemented in connection with the at least one tunnel server.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the deploying includes intercepting private network signal packet transmissions via a private network hop.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein intercepting private network signal packet transmissions via the private network hop comprises intercepting any and all private network outbound and inbound signal packet transmissions.

11. The method of claim 10 , wherein the private network hop is implemented in connection with the at least one tunnel server.

12. The method of claim 7 , wherein the private network hop is implemented in connection with the at least one tunnel server.

13. The method of claim 2 , wherein the virtual online presence comprises multiple private network hops at various locations in the one or more private networks.

14. A system comprising:

one or more computing devices to deploy networking services, resources and/or applications for one or more private networks via the Internet without human intervention;

wherein the one or more private networks to comprise two or more separate logical broadcast domains and a controller, the controller to be outside the two or more separate logical broadcasts, in which the one or more private networks are to be able to communicate selected signal packets to be transmitted from one network device in one of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains to one network device in another of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains via at least one tunnel server outside the two or more separate logical broadcast domains, the at least one tunnel server to be provisioned by the controller;

wherein the at least one private network further able to communicate selected signal packets from one network device in one of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains transmitted to one network device in another of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains as if the logical broadcast domains are not separate and in a manner so as to by-pass network address translation.

15. The system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to deploy network services, resources and/or applications via a virtual online presence accessible via the Internet.

16. The system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to deploy network services including packet path services.

17. The system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to deploy network services including include network diagnostic and/or analysis services.

18. The system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to deploy network services including network configuration and/or reconfiguration services.

19. The system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to deploy networking services, resources and/or applications via a virtual online presence comprising a private network hop for private network signal packet transmissions such that signal packet encapsulation of private network signal packet transmissions is to be terminated, and the signal packets are to be inspected, to be re-encapsulated, and to be further transmitted.

20. The system of claim 19 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to implement the private network hop in connection with the at least one tunnel server.

21. The system of claim 14 , wherein to deploy the networking services, resources and/or applications comprises to intercept private network signal packet transmissions via a private network hop.

22. The system of claim 20 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to intercept any and all private network outbound and inbound signal packet transmissions.

23. The system of claim 22 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to implement the private network hop in connection with the at least one tunnel server.

24. The system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more computing devices further to deploy networking services, resources and/or applications via multiple private network hops at various locations in the one or more private networks.

25. An article comprising:

a non-transitory storage medium having stored thereon instructions executable to deploy networking services, resources and/or applications for one or more private networks via the Internet without human intervention;

wherein the one or more private networks to comprise two or more separate logical broadcast domains and a controller, the controller to be outside the two or more separate logical broadcasts, in which the one or more private networks are to be able to communicate selected signal packets to be transmitted from one network device in one of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains to one network device in another of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains via at least one tunnel server outside the two or more separate logical broadcast domains, the at least one tunnel server to be provisioned by the controller;

wherein the at least one private network further able to communicate selected signal packets from one network device in one of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains transmitted to one network device in another of the two or more separate logical broadcast domains as if the logical broadcast domains are not separate and in a manner so as to by-pass network address translation.

26. The article of claim 25 , wherein the instructions are further executable to deploy network services, resources and/or applications via a virtual online presence accessible via the Internet.
