Abstract

A wireless device receives configuration parameters of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH. The PUCCH secondary cell is in a timing advance group (TAG) of TAGs. During a first transmission time interval, a command indicating activation of the PUCCH secondary cell is received. A timing advance command for the TAG is received. Transmission of valid channel state information via the PUCCH secondary cell during a second transmission time interval occurring a first quantity of transmission time intervals after the first transmission time interval are started. The first quantity is based on a delay from receiving the command until the wireless device applies the timing advance command to uplink transmissions via the TAG. Acknowledgements for downlink shared channel transport blocks are transmitted via the PUCCH secondary cell.

Claims (38)

1. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive configuration parameters of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH, wherein the PUCCH secondary cell is in a timing advance group (TAG) of TAGs;

receive, during a first transmission time interval, a command indicating activation of the PUCCH secondary cell;

receive a timing advance command for the TAG;

start transmission of valid channel state information via the PUCCH secondary cell during a second transmission time interval occurring a first quantity of transmission time intervals after the first transmission time interval, wherein the first quantity is based on a delay from receiving the command until the wireless device applies the timing advance command to uplink transmissions via the TAG; and

transmit, via the PUCCH secondary cell, acknowledgements for downlink shared channel transport blocks.

2. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the timing advance command is received when a time alignment timer of the TAG is not running.

3. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the PUCCH secondary cell is a cell in a secondary PUCCH group.

4. The wireless device of claim 3 , wherein the secondary PUCCH group is one of a plurality of PUCCH groups.

5. The wireless device of claim 4 , wherein the plurality of PUCCH groups comprise a primary PUCCH group comprising the primary cell.

6. The wireless device of claim 3 , wherein the valid channel state information is for an activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group.

7. The wireless device of claim 3 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the wireless device to start HARQ processes of downlink shared channel transport blocks of an activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group on or after the second transmission time interval occurring the first quantity of transmission time intervals after the first transmission time interval.

8. The wireless device of claim 3 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the wireless device to start receiving downlink shared channel transport blocks on an activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group on or after the second transmission time interval occurring the first quantity of transmission time intervals after the first transmission time interval.

9. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the TAGs comprise:

the TAG, uplink transmission timing in the TAG derived using a first cell in the TAG; and

a second TAG, uplink transmission timing in the second TAG derived using a second cell in the second TAG.

10. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the wireless device to receive: a first time alignment timer information element (IE) for the TAG; and a second time alignment timer IE for a second TAG in the TAGs.

11. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, configuration parameters of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH, wherein the PUCCH secondary cell is in a timing advance group (TAG) of TAGs;

receiving, during a first transmission time interval, a command indicating activation of the PUCCH secondary cell;

receiving a timing advance command for the TAG;

starting transmission of valid channel state information via the PUCCH secondary cell during a second transmission time interval occurring a first quantity of transmission time intervals after the first transmission time interval, wherein the first quantity is based on a delay from receiving the command until the wireless device applies the timing advance command to uplink transmissions via the TAG; and

transmitting, via the PUCCH secondary cell, acknowledgements for downlink shared channel transport blocks.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the timing advance command is received when a time alignment timer of the TAG is not running.

13. The method of claim 11 , wherein the PUCCH secondary cell is a cell in a secondary PUCCH group.

14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the secondary PUCCH group is one of a plurality of PUCCH groups.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of PUCCH groups comprise a primary PUCCH group comprising the primary cell.

16. The method of claim 13 , wherein the valid channel state information is for an activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group.

17. The method of claim 13 , further comprising starting HARQ processes of downlink shared channel transport blocks of an activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group on or after the second transmission time interval occurring the first quantity of transmission time intervals after the first transmission time interval.

18. The method of claim 13 , further comprising starting reception of downlink shared channel transport blocks on an activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group on or after the second transmission time interval occurring the first quantity of transmission time intervals after the first transmission time interval.

19. The method of claim 11 , wherein the TAGs comprise:

the TAG, uplink transmission timing in the TAG derived using a first cell in the TAG; and

a second TAG, uplink transmission timing in the second TAG derived using a second cell in the second TAG.

20. The method of claim 11 , further comprising receiving:

a first time alignment timer IE for the TAG; and

a second time alignment timer IE for a second TAG in the TAGs.
