Abstract

Provided herein are pharmaceutical compositions comprising tumoricidal and/or antimicrobial components isolated from the supernatant of NK-92 cell medium and methods of using the compositions for killing cancer cells.

Claims (15)

1. A composition comprising a sterile aqueous solution and at least one of isolated exosomes or microvesicles from modified NK-92 cells, wherein the modified NK-92 cells are treated with IL-15 and/or interferon gamma prior to isolation of the exosomes or microvesicles.

2. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the sterile aqueous solution comprises one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.

3. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the sterile aqueous solution comprises sterile PBS or sterile saline solution.

4. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the sterile aqueous solution comprises a supernatant of a medium of NK-92 cells.

5. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the isolated exosomes or microvesicles are tumoricidal or anti-microbial.

6. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the NK-92 cells comprise NK-92 cells modified to express an Fc receptor, a cytokine, a cytokine receptor or a chimeric antigen receptor.

7. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition is formulated for subdermal or subcutaneous injection.

8. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition further comprises one or more cytokines.

9. The composition of claim 8 , wherein the one or more cytokines includes at least IL-2.

10. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the sterile aqueous solution comprises one or more carriers.

11. The composition of claim 10 , wherein the carrier is selected from the group consisting of an aqueous buffer, water-soluble organic solvent, and organic liquid.

12. The composition of claim 10 , wherein the carrier is a lipid.

13. The composition of claim 10 , wherein the carrier is a aqueous carrier selected from the group consisting of hyaluronic acid, saline, Ringer's solution, dextrose solution, and Hank's solution.

14. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition further comprises one or more additional antimicrobial agents.

15. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition further comprises a preservative or stabilizer.
