Abstract

A communication apparatus includes a user signal transmission unit that transmits a user signal required for an end user to perform communication; a manager function implementing unit that implements a function provided to a manager of the present apparatus; a license monitoring unit that monitors a license of the present apparatus, and outputs a function limitation signal when the license has expired; and a function limitation unit that limits the function implemented by the manager function implementing unit when receiving the function limitation signal. In a communication apparatus that transmits a user signal required for an end user to perform communication, a function of the apparatus is limited when a relevant license has expired, while preventing an influence of the limitation upon the end user.

Claims (20)

1. A radio communication apparatus comprising:

a memory; and

a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to:

communicate a radio signal with another radio communication apparatus through a radio transmission path according to license information, the license information including a license type and a license period,

generate an alarm according to a state of the radio transmission path when a level of the radio signal is lower than a predetermined threshold,

receive the license information,

control the alarm to be outputted while the license is valid, and

control the alarm to be blocked while communicating the radio signal based on the license period.

2. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the license type indicates function of the radio communication apparatus to be activated according to the license information.

3. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the function is maintained while the alarm is blocked.

4. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the alarm is outputted when the license information is updated.

5. A communication method of a radio communication system including a radio communication apparatus, the communication method comprising:

receiving, by the radio communication apparatus, a radio signal from another radio communication apparatus through a radio transmission path according to license information, the license information including a license type and a license period;

generating, by the radio communication apparatus, an alarm according to a state of the radio transmission path when a level of the radio signal is lower than a predetermined threshold;

receiving, by the radio communication apparatus, the license information;

controlling the alarm to be outputted while the license is valid; and

controlling the alarm to be blocked while communicating the radio signal based on the license period.

6. The communication method according to claim 5 , wherein the license type indicates a function to be activated according to the license information.

7. The communication method according to claim 6 , wherein the function is maintained while the alarm is blocked.

8. The communication method according to claim 5 , wherein the alarm is outputted when the license information is updated.
