Abstract

The present invention relates to novel fungicidal compositions for the treatment of phytopathogenic diseases of useful plants, especially phytopathogenic fungi, and to a method of controlling such phytopathogenic diseases on useful plants. In particular compositions suitable for control of diseases caused by phytopathogens comprise a mixture of a compound of formula (I) with a compound of formula (II) and a method of controlling diseases on useful plants using such compositions.

Claims (25)

1. A composition suitable for control of diseases caused by phytopathogens, comprising:

as component (A) 3-(difluoromethyl)-N-methoxy-1-methyl-N-[1-methyl-2-(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)ethyl]pyrazole-4-carboxamide;

and as component (B), a compound of formula (IIc),

or formula (IId)

wherein component (A) and component (B) are present in a synergistic ratio.

2. The composition according to claim 1 , wherein component (B) is the compound of formula (IIc).

3. The composition according to claim 1 , wherein component (B) is the compound of formula (IId).

4. The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the ratio of component (A) to component (B) is 2:5 to 1:80 by weight.

5. The composition according to claim 2 , wherein the ratio of component (A) to component (B) is 2:5 to 1:20 by weight.

6. The composition according to claim 3 , wherein the ratio of component (A) to component (B) is 1:5 to 1:80 by weight.

7. The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the ratio of component (A) to component (B) is 1:4 to 4:1 by weight.

8. The composition according to claim 1 , further comprising an agriculturally acceptable adjuvant and/or carrier.

9. A method of controlling diseases on useful plants or on propagation material thereof caused by phytopathogens, which comprises applying to the useful plants, the locus thereof or propagation material thereof, a composition as defined in claim 1 .

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the phytophathogens are selected from the group consisting of Septoria tritici, Mycospaerella arachidis, Alternaria solani, Venturia inaequalis, Botrytis cinerea , and Rhizoctonia solani.

11. A method of controlling diseases on useful plants or on propagation material thereof caused by phytopathogens, which comprises applying to the useful plants, the locus thereof or propagation material thereof, a composition as defined in claim 4 .

12. A composition suitable for control of diseases caused by phytopathogens, comprising:

as component (A) 3-(difluoromethyl)-N-methoxy-1-methyl-N-[1-methyl-2-(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)ethyl]pyrazole-4-carboxamide; and

as component (B), a compound of formula (IIc),

or formula (IId)

wherein component (A) and component (B) are present in a synergistically effect amount.

13. The composition according to claim 12 , wherein component (B) is the compound of formula (IIc).

14. The composition according to claim 12 , wherein component (B) is the compound of formula (IId).

15. The composition according to claim 12 , further comprising an agriculturally acceptable adjuvant and/or carrier.

16. A method of controlling diseases on useful plants or on propagation material thereof caused by phytopathogens, which comprises applying to the useful plants, the locus thereof or propagation material thereof, a composition as defined in claim 12 .

17. The method of claim 16 , wherein the phytophathogens are selected from the group consisting of Septoria tritici, Mycospaerella arachidis, Alternaria solani, Venturia inaequalis, Botrytis cinerea , and Rhizoctonia solani.
