Abstract

An auto darkening filter, comprising: a first positive liquid crystal (LCD 1 ) a second positive liquid crystal (LCD 2 ); a first liquid crystal control circuit (A) configured to control the first positive liquid crystal (LCD 1 ) and the second positive liquid crystal (LCD 2 ) based on a received control signal; a negative-phase liquid crystal (LCD 3 ) provided between the first positive liquid crystal (LCD 1 ) and the second positive liquid crystal (LCD 2 ); a second liquid crystal control circuit (B) configured to control the negative-phase liquid crystal (LCD 3 ) based on a received control signal; a UV/IR filter configured to filter a welding arc; a light control circuit configured to detect the welding arc, generate a corresponding control signal based on the detected intensity of the welding arc, and output the corresponding control signal to a main control circuit.

Claims (67)

1. An auto darkening filter, comprising:

a first positive liquid crystal and a second positive liquid crystal;

a first liquid crystal control circuit configured to control the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal based on a first control signal;

a negative-phase liquid crystal disposed between the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal;

a second liquid crystal control circuit configured to control the negative-phase liquid crystal based on a second control signal;

UV/IR filter configured to filter a welding arc;

a light control circuit configured to detect a light intensity of the welding arc, generate a corresponding control signal based on the detected light intensity of the welding arc and output the control signal to a main control circuit; and

the main control circuit connected with the light control circuit, the first liquid crystal control circuit and the second liquid crystal control circuit respectively, and configured to output the first and second control signals to the first liquid crystal control circuit and the second liquid crystal control circuit, respectively, to control the first liquid crystal control circuit and the second liquid crystal control circuit to output different voltages to (i) the first and second positive liquid crystals and (ii) the negative-phase liquid crystal, respectively.

2. The auto darkening filter according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a darkness setting unit connected to the main control circuit and configured to set a light-shielding number of the auto darkening filter;

wherein the main control circuit is configured to:

generate the first and second control signals to control the first liquid crystal control circuit and the second liquid crystal control circuit, respectively, to output the different voltages to (i) the first and second positive liquid crystals and (ii) the negative-phase liquid crystal, respectively, based on the light-shielding number set by the darkness setting unit to enable the auto darkening filter to exhibit darkness set by the light-shielding number.

3. The auto darkening filter according to claim 2 , wherein the main control circuit is configured to:

detect that the light-shielding number is set as No. 2.5 to No. 4,

control the first liquid crystal control circuit to provide an operating voltage of 0V to the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal; and

control the second liquid crystal control circuit to provide to the negative-phase liquid crystal a square wave or DC voltage with an operating voltage of 2.5v to 15v and a frequency of 0.05 Hz to 20 Hz.

4. The auto darkening filter according to claim 2 , wherein the main control circuit is configured to:

detect that the light-shielding number is set as No. 5 to No. 15,

control the first liquid crystal control circuit to provide to the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal a square wave with an operating voltage of 1.5V to 8V and a frequency of 10 Hz to 60 Hz; and

control the second liquid crystal control circuit to provide to the negative-phase liquid crystal a square wave or DC voltage with an operating voltage of 2.5V to 15V and a frequency of 0.05 Hz to 20 Hz.

5. The auto darkening filter according to claim 4 , wherein the first liquid crystal control circuit provides, to the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal, the square wave with an operating voltage of 3v to 8v.

6. The auto darkening filter according to claim 1 , wherein when a light sensor in the light control circuit detects an end of welding operation, the main control circuit is configured to:

control the first liquid crystal control circuit to stop outputting the first control signal to the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal; and

control the second liquid crystal control circuit to output a darkness gradient control signal to the negative-phase liquid crystal for gradually changing a light-shielding number of the auto darkening filter from high to low.

7. The auto darkening filter according to claim 1 , further comprising at least one of:

a delay setting unit configured to set a filter delay of the auto darkening filter; or

a sensitivity setting unit configured to set a filter sensitivity of the auto darkening filter,

operably to the main control circuit.

8. The auto darkening filter according to claim 1 , wherein the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal are positive normal-phase liquid crystals; and the negative-phase liquid crystal is a positive negative-phase liquid crystal.

9. A welding mask assembly, comprising:

an auto darkening filter comprising:

a first positive liquid crystal and a second positive liquid crystal;

a first liquid crystal control circuit configured to control the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal based on a first control signal;

a negative-phase liquid crystal disposed between the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal;

a second liquid crystal control circuit configured to control the negative-phase liquid crystal based on a second control signal;

UV/IR filter configured to filter a welding arc;

a light control circuit configured to detect a light intensity of the welding arc, generate a corresponding control signal based on the detected light intensity of the welding arc and output the control signal to a main control circuit; and

the main control circuit connected with the light control circuit, the first liquid crystal control circuit and the second liquid crystal control circuit respectively, and configured to output the first and second control signals to the first liquid crystal control circuit and the second liquid crystal control circuit, respectively, to control the first liquid crystal control circuit and the second liquid crystal control circuit to output different voltages to (i) the first and second positive liquid crystals and (ii) the negative-phase liquid crystal, respectively.

10. The welding mask assembly according to claim 9 , wherein the auto darkening filter further comprises:

a darkness setting unit connected to the main control circuit and configured to set a light-shielding number of the auto darkening filter;

wherein the main control circuit is configured to:

generate the first and second control signals to control the first liquid crystal control circuit and the second liquid crystal control circuit, respectively, to output the different voltages to (i) the first and second positive liquid crystals and (ii) the negative-phase liquid crystal, respectively, based on the light-shielding number set by the darkness setting unit to enable the auto darkening filter to exhibit darkness set by the light-shielding number.

11. The welding mask assembly according to claim 10 , wherein the main control circuit is configured to:

detect that the light-shielding number is set as No. 2.5 to No. 4,

control the first liquid crystal control circuit to provide an operating voltage of 0v to the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal; and

control the second liquid crystal control circuit to provide to the negative-phase liquid crystal a square wave or DC voltage with an operating voltage of 2.5v to 15v and a frequency of 0.05 Hz to 20 Hz.

12. The welding mask assembly according to claim 10 , wherein the main control circuit is configured to:

detect that the light-shielding number is set as No. 5 to No. 15,

control the first liquid crystal control circuit to provide to the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal a square wave with an operating voltage of 1.5V to 8v and a frequency of 10 Hz to 60 Hz; and

control the second liquid crystal control circuit to provide to the negative-phase liquid crystal a square wave or DC voltage with an operating voltage of 2.5v to 15v and a frequency of 0.05 Hz to 20 Hz.

13. The welding mask assembly according to claim 12 , wherein the first liquid crystal control circuit provides, to the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal, the square wave with an operating voltage of 3v to 8v.

14. The welding mask assembly according to claim 9 , wherein when a light sensor in the light control circuit detects an end of welding operation, the main control circuit is configured to:

control the first liquid crystal control circuit to stop outputting the first control signal to the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal; and

control the second liquid crystal control circuit to output a darkness gradient control signal to the negative-phase liquid crystal for gradually changing a light-shielding number of the auto darkening filter from high to low.

15. The welding mask assembly according to claim 9 , wherein the auto darkening filter further comprises at least one of:

a delay setting unit configured to set a filter delay of the auto darkening filter; or

a sensitivity setting unit configured to set a filter sensitivity of the auto darkening filter,

operably to the main control circuit.

16. The welding mask assembly according to claim 10 , wherein the auto darkening filter further comprises at least one of:

a delay setting unit configured to set a filter delay of the auto darkening filter; or

a sensitivity setting unit configured to set a filter sensitivity of the auto darkening filter,

operably to the main control circuit.

17. The welding mask assembly according to claim 9 , wherein the first positive liquid crystal and the second positive liquid crystal are positive normal-phase liquid crystals; and the negative-phase liquid crystal is a positive negative-phase liquid crystal.

18. The auto darkening filter according to claim 2 , further comprising at least one of:

a delay setting unit configured to set a filter delay of the auto darkening filter; or

a sensitivity setting unit configured to set a filter sensitivity of the auto darkening filter,

operably to the main control circuit.
