Abstract
Lactams for use in the treatment of skin lesions are described. In particular, lactams for the treatment of chronic wounds, including chronic wounds in patients having diabetes.
Claims (6)
1. A method of treatment of a bacterial infection of a skin lesion in a subject comprising:
administering to the subject an effective amount of
4-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-methylene-pyrrol-2-one;
wherein the bacterial infection is caused by Pseudomonas.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the skin lesion is a chronic skin lesion.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject has diabetes.
