Abstract

A computer-implemented method to select a user profile is disclosed. The method may include obtaining, from a first device, a communication attempt at a user device. The method may further include obtaining first device data associated with the communication attempt and with the first device. The method may also include comparing the first device data with multiple data elements of each of multiple user profiles associated with the user device. The method may further include selecting a user profile of the multiple user profiles that includes the data element that matches the first device data in response to the first device data matching a data element of the multiple data elements. The method may also include loading an audio profile for the selected user profile on the user device.

Claims (43)

1. A computer-implemented method comprising:

obtaining, from a first device, a communication attempt;

obtaining first device data associated with the communication attempt and with the first device;

comparing the first device data with a plurality of data elements of each of a plurality of user profiles of users associated with a user device, the users associated with the user device directly interacting with the user device during a communication session between the user device and the first device resulting from the communication attempt;

in response to the first device data matching a data element of the plurality of data elements, selecting a user profile of the plurality of user profiles that includes the data element that matches the first device data; and

directing application of one or more settings associated with the selected user profile, the one or more settings configured to change one or more of: audio settings, display settings, transcription settings, and communication settings for the communication session.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more settings are device settings that are applied on the user device.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more settings are configured to change the audio settings, the display settings, the transcription settings, and the communication settings.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the selected user profile is a default user profile.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the selecting the user profile comprises:

presenting a list of the plurality of user profiles that include the data element that matches the first device data;

obtaining input from a user; and

selecting the user profile from the list of the plurality of user profiles based on the input from the user.

6. At least one non-transitory computer readable media configured to store one or more instructions that when executed by at least one computing system cause or direct the computing system to perform the method of claim 1 .

7. A computer-implemented method comprising:

obtaining, from a first device, a communication attempt at a second device;

obtaining first device data associated with the communication attempt and with the first device;

comparing the first device data with a plurality of data elements associated with the second device;

in response to the first device data matching a data element of the plurality of data elements, selecting one or more settings based on the data element that matches the first device data for a communication session between the first device and the second device resulting from the communication attempt; and

directing application of the selected one or more settings for the communication session, the selected one or more settings configured to change one or more of: audio settings, display settings, transcription settings, and communication settings.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the plurality of data elements associated with the second device are stored on the second device.

9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the plurality of data elements associated with the second device includes elements from one or more of: a contact list stored on the second device and a communication history of communication sessions conducted by the second device.

10. The method of claim 7 , wherein the one or more settings are device settings that are applied on the second device.

11. The method of claim 7 , wherein the one or more settings are configured to change the audio settings, the display settings, the transcription settings, and the communication settings.

12. The method of claim 7 , wherein the plurality of data elements are from a plurality of user profiles of users associated with the second device, the users associated with the second device directly interacting with the second device during the communication session.

13. The method of claim 12 , further comprising in response to the first device data matching a data element of the plurality of data elements, selecting a user profile of the plurality of user profiles that includes the data element that matches the first device data, wherein the selected one or more settings are associated with the selected user profile.

14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the selecting the user profile comprises:

presenting a list of the plurality of user profiles that include the data element that matches the first device data;

obtaining input from a user; and

selecting the user profile from the list of the plurality of user profiles based on the input from the user.

15. At least one non-transitory computer readable media configured to store one or more instructions that when executed by at least one computing system cause or direct the computing system to perform the method of claim 7 .

16. A communication system comprising:

at least one non-transitory computer readable media configured to store one or more instructions; and

at least one processor coupled to the non-transitory computer readable media and configured to execute the instructions to cause or direct the communication system to perform operations comprising:

obtain, from a device, a communication attempt at the communication system;

obtain device data associated with the communication attempt and with the device;

compare the device data with a plurality of data elements associated with the communication system;

in response to the device data matching a data element of the plurality of data elements, select one or more settings based on the data element that matches the device data for a communication session between the device and the communication system resulting from the communication attempt; and

direct application of the selected one or more settings for the communication session, the selected one or more settings configured to change one or more of: audio settings, display settings, transcription settings, and communication settings.

17. The communication system of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of data elements associated with the communication system are stored on the communication system.

18. The communication system of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of data elements associated with the communication system includes elements from one or more of: a contact list stored on the communication system and a communication history of communication sessions conducted by the communication system.

19. The communication system of claim 16 , wherein the one or more settings are system settings that are applied on the communication system.

20. The communication system of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of data elements are from a plurality of user profiles of users associated with the communication system, the users associated with the communication system directly interacting with the communication system during the communication session.
