Abstract

The present disclosure relates to methods, systems, and storage media for updating field-value pairs of record objects using electronic activities matched to record objects. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a system and method for identifying an opportunity contact role of a record object. Exemplary implementations may access a plurality of record objects of a system of record; identify a first record object including a plurality of role object fields; identify at least one electronic activity based on a match score; generate a role assignment score using a role assignment policy; select a second record object; store, in at least one role object field, an association between the selected second record object and the at least one role object field.

Claims (55)

1 . A method comprising:

accessing, by one or more processors, a plurality of record objects of a system of record, each record object of the plurality of record objects corresponding to a first record object type or a second record object type, each record object comprising one or more object fields having one or more object field-values, the system of record corresponding to a data source provider;

identifying, by the one or more processors, a first record object of the plurality of record objects of the first record object type including a plurality of role object fields that are configured to store an association with respective second record objects of the second record object type;

identifying, by the one or more processors, at least one electronic activity for which the one or more processors maintain an association with the first record object based on a match score between the at least one electronic activity and the first record object;

generating, by the one or more processors, for each of a plurality of candidate second record objects, a role assignment score using a role assignment policy, the role assignment policy based on a plurality of other record objects of the first record object type maintained on a system of record of the data source provider or using object field-value pairs of the plurality of second record objects;

selecting, from the plurality of candidate second record objects, a second record object having a respective role assignment score that satisfies a predetermined threshold; and

storing, by the one or more processors, in at least one role object field of the plurality of role object fields of the first record object, an association between the selected second record object and the at least one role object field.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising, for each of the plurality of candidate second record objects, determining a count of a number of instances a respective candidate second record object is associated with a role object field of a subset of the plurality of record objects.

The method of claim 2 , wherein generating the role assignment score for the respective candidate second record object further comprises generating the role assignment score based on the count of the number of instances the respective candidate second record object is associated with the role object field of the subset of the plurality of record objects.

4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein each of the subset of the plurality of record objects are of the first record object type.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

identifying, by one or more processors, a second electronic activity for which the one or more processors maintain an association with the first record object;

determining, by one or more processors, the second electronic activity comprises a participant different than a plurality of participants associated with the at least one electronic activity;

identifying, by one or more processors, a candidate second record object corresponding to the participant different than the plurality of participants;

determining, by one or more processors, a second role assignment score using object field-value pairs of the candidate second record object; and

updating, by the one or more processors, in at the least one role object field of the plurality of role object fields of the first record object, an association between the candidate second record object and the at least one role object field based on the second role assignment score satisfying a threshold.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein a threshold is role assignment score of the selected second record object.

7 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

identifying, by the one or more processors, a first node profile of a plurality of node profiles associated with the candidate second record object and a second node profile of the plurality of node profiles associated with the selected second record object; and

determining, by the one or more processors, the second role assignment score based on a node field-value pair of the first node profile and the role assignment score of the selected second record object based on a node field-value pair of the second node profile.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the role assignment policy comprises a plurality of rules to generate the role assignment score based on object field-value pairs for each of the plurality of candidate second record objects.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of rules generate the role assignment score based on a relative ranking of a plurality of positions.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of candidate second record objects correspond to a different participant of the at least one electronic activity.

11 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

identifying, for each of the candidate second record objects, a node profile from a plurality of nodes profiles;

generating, for each of the plurality of the candidate second record objects, the role assignment score based on a node field-value pair of the node profile.

12 . A system, the system comprising:

one or more hardware processors configured by machine-readable instructions to:

access a plurality of record objects of a system of record, each record object of the plurality of record objects corresponding to a first record object type or a second record object type, each record object comprising one or more object fields having one or more object field-values, the system of record corresponding to a data source provider;

identify a first record object of the plurality of record objects of the first record object type including a plurality of role object fields that are configured to store an association with respective second record objects of the second record object type;

identify at least one electronic activity for which the one or more processors maintain an association with the first record object based on a match score between the at least one electronic activity and the first record object;

generate for each of a plurality of candidate second record objects, a role assignment score using a role assignment policy, the role assignment policy based on a plurality of other record objects of the first record object type maintained on a system of record of the data source provider or using object field-value pairs of the plurality of second record objects;

select, from the plurality of candidate second record objects, a second record object having a respective role assignment score that satisfies a predetermined threshold; and

store in at least one role object field of the plurality of role object fields of the first record object, an association between the selected second record object and the at least one role object field.

The system of claim 12 , wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured by machine-readable instructions to for each of the plurality of candidate second record objects, determine a count of a number of instances a respective candidate second record object is associated with a role object field of a subset of the plurality of record objects.

The system of claim 13 , wherein generating the role assignment score for the respective candidate second record object further comprises generating the role assignment score based on the count of the number of instances the respective candidate second record object is associated with the role object field of the subset of the plurality of record objects.

15 . The system of claim 13 , wherein each of the subset of the plurality of record objects are of the first record object type.

16 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured by machine-readable instructions to:

identify a second electronic activity for which the one or more processors maintain an association with the first record object;

determine, by one or more processors, the second electronic activity comprises a participant different than a plurality of participants associated with the at least one electronic activity;

identify, by one or more processors, a candidate second record object corresponding to the participant different than the plurality of participants;

determine, by one or more processors, a second role assignment score using object field-value pairs of the candidate second record object;

update in at the least one role object field of the plurality of role object fields of the first record object, an association between the candidate second record object and the at least one role object field based on the second role assignment score satisfying a threshold.

17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein a threshold is role assignment score of the selected second record object.

18 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured by machine-readable instructions to:

identify a first node profile of a plurality of node profiles associated with the candidate second record object and a second node profile of the plurality of node profiles associated with the selected second record object;

determine the second role assignment score based on a node field-value pair of the first node profile and the role assignment score of the selected second record object based on a node field-value pair of the second node profile.

19 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the role assignment policy comprises a plurality of rules to generate the role assignment score based on object field-value pairs for each of the plurality of candidate second record objects.

20 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions embodied thereon, the instructions being executable by one or more processors to cause the one or more processors to:

access a plurality of record objects of a system of record, each record object of the plurality of record objects corresponding to a first record object type or a second record object type, each record object comprising one or more object fields having one or more object field-values, the system of record corresponding to a data source provider;

identify a first record object of the plurality of record objects of the first record object type including a plurality of role object fields that are configured to store an association with respective second record objects of the second record object type;

identify at least one electronic activity for which the one or more processors maintain an association with the first record object based on a match score between the at least one electronic activity and the first record object;

generate for each of a plurality of candidate second record objects, a role assignment score using a role assignment policy, the role assignment policy based on a plurality of other record objects of the first record object type maintained on a system of record of the data source provider or using object field-value pairs of the plurality of second record objects;

select, from the plurality of candidate second record objects, a second record object having a respective role assignment score that satisfies a predetermined threshold; and

store in at least one role object field of the plurality of role object fields of the first record object, an association between the selected second record object and the at least one role object field.
