Abstract

A wireless device receives configuration parameters of cells. The cells are grouped into timing advance groups (TAGs) comprising a secondary TAG. The cells are grouped into physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) groups comprising a secondary PUCCH group. The secondary PUCCH group comprises: a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH and a first secondary cell. The PUCCH secondary cell is in the secondary TAG. In response to a time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring or stopping: transmission of positive or negative acknowledgement for one or more HARQ processes of an activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group is stopped, reception of downlink shared channel transport blocks via the first secondary cell is stopped, and reception of downlink multicast channel transport blocks via the first secondary cell is continued.

Claims (39)

1. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive configuration parameters of cells, wherein:

the cells are grouped into timing advance groups (TAGs) comprising a secondary TAG; and

the cells are grouped into physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) groups comprising a secondary PUCCH group comprising:

a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH, wherein the PUCCH secondary cell is in the secondary TAG; and

a first secondary cell; and

in response to a time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring or stopping:

stop transmission of positive or negative acknowledgement for one or more HARQ processes of an activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group;

stop reception of downlink shared channel transport blocks via the first secondary cell; and

continue reception of downlink multicast channel transport blocks via the first secondary cell.

2. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to stop one or more of the one or more HARQ processes of downlink shared channel transport blocks of the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group in response to the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring.

3. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to stop receiving downlink shared channel transport blocks on the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group in response to the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring or stopping.

4. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to stop transmission of channel state information for the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group in response to the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring or stopping.

5. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the secondary TAG is considered:

out-of-sync in response to the time alignment timer being expired or not running; and

in-sync in response to the time alignment timer running.

6. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to clear any configured downlink assignments received for the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group when the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expires.

7. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to continue transmission of uplink packets and uplink sounding reference signals on a serving cell when the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expires, wherein the serving cell is in the secondary PUCCH group and the serving cell is not in the secondary TAG.

8. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to flush one or more of the HARQ processes for downlink shared channel transport blocks on the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group when the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expires.

9. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the first secondary cell is different from the PUCCH secondary cell.

10. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the TAGs comprises a primary TAG comprising a primary cell.

11. The wireless device of claim 10 , wherein:

uplink transmission timing in the secondary TAG is derived employing a first cell in the secondary TAG; and

uplink transmission timing in the primary TAG is derived employing a second cell in the primary TAG.

12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the configuration parameters further comprise:

a first time alignment timer IE for the secondary TAG; and

a second time alignment timer IE for a primary TAG in the TAGs.

13. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the PUCCH groups comprises a primary PUCCH group comprising a primary cell with a primary PUCCH.

14. The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein:

the primary PUCCH is transmitted to a base station; and

the secondary PUCCH is transmitted to the base station.

15. The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to, in response to the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring or stopping, notify a radio resource control layer to release the secondary PUCCH.

16. The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to stop one or more of the one or more HARQ processes of downlink shared channel transport blocks of the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group in response to the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring.

17. The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to stop receiving downlink shared channel transport blocks on the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group in response to the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring or stopping.

18. The wireless device of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to stop transmission of channel state information for the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group in response to the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expiring or stopping.

19. The wireless device of claim 18 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to clear any configured downlink assignments received for the activated cell in the secondary PUCCH group when the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expires.

20. The wireless device of claim 19 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to continue transmission of uplink packets and uplink sounding reference signals on a serving cell when the time alignment timer of the secondary TAG expires, wherein the serving cell is in the secondary PUCCH group and the serving cell is not in the secondary TAG.
